This hotel is conveniently placed right next to the beautiful Nyali beach but that is where the good things stop. Muthu is very poorly maintained, with a collapsed building on the back right of the pool. Each room has ripped and stained mosquito nets. Rusted and dirty bathrooms, the first room we were put in the water was leaking from the toilet. The AC works but sounds like it’s about to explode. And the lift is broken, so you are screwed in you are on the 4th floor. We also ordered a meal from the restaurant, but had to send us back as the chicken biriani had gone bad, and the spaghetti bolognaise was so salty my wife tried to poor water on it to make it better, with no luck. Finally, the entire team there doesn’t communicate with each other and they cannot be contacted by Trip.com. That meal we sent back, we were told by the restaurant manager that we would not need to pay for it. He never told the reception staff and we had to argue with the guards at the gate of the hotel to let our taxi leave for about half an hour before we had to force our way out. Please don’t stay here, it’s not worth it. Go to somewhere near Diani beach, it’s much better on that side.

Amazing place to stay n experience local life in Mombasa. The resort is very neat and well maintained. The pools in the resort are well maintained .The staff were very helpful. The beach is very near n accessible from the resort. The breakfast buffet was widespread from breads , cornflakes n porridge n chole bhature, fresh fruits.

Absolutely stunning! Room outstanding, grounds and pool immaculately kept. In the beach with incredible views. Staff excellent. Breakfast good. Attended for a work conference and thrilled to have this hotel to stay in- a little piece of paradise!

Had beautiful beach views, great service from Gardner Arunga. He made our stay amazing. Served us on time, updated us early on the dishes for each time, made our stay the best. Thank you for the stay, I would recommend everyone to check it out.

Just amazing place to visit I can tell the world that... From the welcoming at the reception(thank you madam Lillian for always checking up on us)... To the restaurant(thank you Chef Anne, Maureen, Nicole) Victor the amazing waiter, Elizabeth the waitress, Alex the Host... The breakfast, lunch and dinner all hot, veg also included for the vegetarians. Swimming pool access all through the day... Beach just over the fence... Just visit and you will not regret

Good service and staff are welcoming. Also a nice location to access the beach and the bar area on beachfront is a good spot. Just a few comments are: price of meals is a bit high specially if your room is not a full board. Also the rooms are a bit old and would be great if some renovations are considerd.

Avoid this hotel at all cost! The front office reception manager should not be in the hospitality business. He was absolutely rude and unapologetic. Despite paying for the room in advance, and having a confirmation, the hotel decided to give our room away as we turned up late. I called, emailed and whatsapped the hotel to inform that our arrival will be delayed. We even have confirmation that they got the message. Despite this, they still gave the room away and offered us a smaller room which was extremely dirty. The whole property is not as advertised. The property is run down and extremely filthy. The bathroom was horrible. Above all, there was no apology on giving up our room and the reception manager was extremely rude! We had to book an airbnb and find another place to stay. We arrived and was served with a mango juice. I reserved the room online. Problems started when I was told to forward my reservation to their reception desk. My biggest shock was when we were taken to the room. The room seemed like it was never occupied for 2 years. We couldn't sleep there we had to check out same night. Go at your own risk.

The staff are very nice ,polite very helpful .The food was very delicious and the ambience was amazing, very clean and tidy I will definitely come back and also recommend someone here. The staffs are friendly, met phenny who was kind and welcoming.
