"The hotel has sufficient parking spaces (only one with a charging station). You have to be aware that you have to carry your luggage on some stairs to enter the building. The check-in procedure was quick and efficient, though we did not receive the card that allows to e.g. use a bus for free. That one, we only received next day from another person when we indicated we would need to use a bus to start our hike. The room itself is nice, something different compared to the typical hotel style. I certainly liked the balcony, with cosy seats. A bit unfortunate this was at the street side, hence no privacy at all. The room did not have a coffee machine, nor any iron(board). Another complaint is the very hard pillow. The hotel has as already mentioned its own style, and you will find a lot of ‘Christof says’ statements (sounds a bit like ‘Simon says’ in the movie Die Hard 😊). Be aware that you will receive an overload of emails when you register. It is tempting to register since you will receive a 50 Euro coupon (but it is not mentioned upfront that this voucher is only valid in case you book 3 nights). Christof also promotes the breakfast/diner formula, and it looks like this is the only option. It is not, we booked breakfast only. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice. The breakfast area is also cosy. Last remark is on the luggage: we left it in the hotel when we checked out, and picked it up when we returned in the later afternoon. The bags were still at exactly the same location as were we dropped them. This was an area that virtually anyone passing by could take them, I expected those would be stored in a locked area… "

"I stayed for a week in July with my husband and 7-year-old son. The family-run hotel offered excellent value: spacious and clean rooms. Breakfast and dinner were very good, and although they don't have a children's menu, you can request variations. Located just steps from the Monguelfo train station, the hotel provided a free card that allowed us to use public transport to reach all the tourist attractions in the area. The entire staff was friendly and courteous, especially the owner, who was always smiling and helpful. I searched extensively online to find the right hotel for this vacation, and it did not disappoint. The lack of an elevator was a negative. I can't rate the spa because we didn't use it. Overall, it was a very positive experience."

"Beautiful hotel, large room with balcony, comfortable beds. Abundant breakfast, all homemade from tarts to small pastries, there is also a savory option with toast and local cold cuts. The owners are very friendly and helpful, they showed us what could be done in four days. They gave us a ticket to use the transportation included in the package. Convenient parking. Abundant dinners too!!! If there isn't what you like on the menu, we are available to replace. Excellent pizza!!! There is the pizza chef who has Neapolitan origins! Thanks for the welcome. "We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t have asked for more. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and genuine, and Andreas made us feel right at home straight away. A special mention to Liv and Abid, who were simply brilliant throughout our stay. We were lucky enough to receive an upgrade, which was a real highlight for us and very much appreciated. The hotel itself is beautiful and well kept, the breakfast was great, and while dinner follows a set menu, it was more than satisfying. We will definitely be back. Thank you for everything!"

"We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights. In general, the hotel (family-led) is managed excellently: - the reception staff is nice, available and try to meet all the demands; - the spa is comfortable and provided; - the room is spacious and in order. The only point is on the management of breakfast/ dinner room: very nice staff, but unclear in explaining any additional costs (e.g. water in carpets/flacons and/or additional breakfast requests). For the rest, a pleasant stay and in a nervous area of Val Pusteria. I recommend to everyone!"
