Was here for dinner on Friday 19th , meals were excellent, especially the Starter of Stornaway black pudding and apple in mustard sauce, and the Macaroni, and , Fish was also excellent , the service was first class, well done to everyone involved

The food was amazing and the staff were so welcoming. We were up for a short break and just came across this great place and so glad we did if your up near monifieth try it, we found NO faults. Get Scottish tablet ice cream with toffee sauce delish.

We have gone to the Milton many times and it has always been very good, however we went on Friday 2 nd February and found things had changed, The menu has less items on it and the specials board was not impressive. We love fish and we have always had a great fish meal here. This time the only thing for me was fish and chips. But now for the faulty towers episode. My wife and I ordered a wine and a beer when the waitress brought them to our table, she unfortunately spilled the beer onto the floor, not the whole pint but a little amount out of the pint. Even more unfortunate was the astonishing way she then placed my short measure beer on our table. Correct she did not go and top my pint up! Then when my fish and chips arrived the waitress spilled some of my chips on the table. She said sorry and proceeded to leave them there. I mentioned it to a lady I thought maybe in charge. Absolutely astonishingly she cleaned them up then said “ if you’re still hungry when you finish, let me know and I will bring you more chips “ no I am not making this up. We laughed, what else could we do. I don’t know if the Milton has changed ownership, but it was not up to the usual standard.

Being ex merchant navy it is always a pleasure to observe a well oiled and organised machine this is the staff of the Milton Inn had lunch today Ash, Neve and the girls were top level and thank you in the kitchen the real business end. May I suggest the start of an Eve's pudding club. Thanks again Dave

Went for Sunday Roast today which was beautiful. Quality ingredients including the meat. Really good choice from the specials board as well. Staff very professional and good at their job. Pitty there is not a outside seating area for drinks as would have stayed longer as it was a nice day and garden well kept. Nice inside bar area and lovely decor throughout, fitting for the age of the building.

Always great food and service, may need to book at weekends, they have menu plus specials board, relaxing atmosphere and very reasonable priced, waiting staff are young efficient and polite, have been here several times and never disappoints
