Poor value for money. Unfriendly welcome, no feeling that the host is "passionate" about his activity, unprofessional. Charged for 2 lunches when only one was taken. Well-used kitchen utensils! 2/2 chipped mugs + 1 cracked, saucepan with missing enamel and the other. Poor cleaning and dangerous access to shutters (risk of falling from the 2nd floor when you want to hang the shutters), great difficulty in stabilizing lukewarm water (or very cold or burning). building in the middle of a wood and river that passes by the edge of the house: not very sunny and humid. Only positive point the bedding.

Very cold welcome. Cozy room, impeccable bathrooms but dead flies on the beds. Dishes in poor condition and mismatched. Only one wine glass in the Loire wine country. Dirty drawers. I do not recommend this cottage.

The place is nice but the owner not at all. On the phone I could have guessed. We had agreed that we would leave our things because we arrived in the morning instead of 4 p.m. he was ok. He opened the premises to us, we could tell he was angry and said "I'm leaving you, I have work to do." meaning you don't. Already if we work and it's thanks to this money that we reserve at your place and that we make you work, I should have retorted. Then when he gave us the keys he said "I'll let you discover" without any further explanation or a minimum of warmth. If we bother you say so and above all change your job sir, a guest house implies a minimum of welcome. "Hello thank you have a good trip..." a minimum. I have never seen that and I have done many guest rooms in France and abroad.

Pour commencer un « accueil » désagréable. Le propriétaire nous donne les clés et ne tient aucun compte de la demande de ma fille à éloigner son chien qui saute sur nous, puis il s’en va sans chercher à faire connaissance, pas la moindre conversation de mise en confiance, pas le plus petit sourire amical. Sur le logement, les promesses de l’annonce ne sont pas au rendez-vous. De nombreux services sont promis tel qu’un espace confortable accompagné d’une cuisine équipée, d’une télévision, du Wifi... En réalité, tout semble sortir d’une brocante et paraît d’un autre temps, mais dans le mauvais sens du terme. Un matelas est déformé, peu épais et inconfortable. La moitié des plaques de cuisine ne fonctionnent pas. Les ustensiles de cuisine sont dans un état déplorable (les casseroles au téflon, donc cancérigènes, sont très rayées). Mais la cerise sur le gâteau c’est la coupure de chauffage durant la journée que le propriétaire justifie par : « il y a 13 degrés dehors, il fait bon, le chauffage n’est pas utile ». Il a allumé le chauffage le premier soir, puis l'a coupé en journée et l'a rallumé de manière faible le soir. Pour un habitat en pierre comme celui ci, équipé de fenêtres en simple vitrage, il nous fallait mettre la grosse laine. Je cherche encore à comprendre en quoi ce gîte peut être qualifié de « confortable » après un séjour en famille que j’attendais de qualité pour un prix de 700€ pour 3 nuits et un départ imposé à 10h le matin. A fuir…
