I was quoted one price and on checking out charged a different price. We were also told supper was on special but was charged full price the next day on checking out.

On our arrival we were upgraded to the honeymoon suite. The personnel was very friendly. The food outstanding. We will definitely come again!

Just an issue of 1 gown in the room as we were a couple! And tv connection: we had to use our own Netflix account and walk to reception for service booking; no inter telephone use!

After 33 years, we returned to Mimosa Lodge where we spent the first day of our honeymoon. Sadly the room we had stayed in is now a bar but we were upgraded to a huge appartment which was very comfortable. Aiden is no longer there but the staff were great and we had two meals in their excellent restaurant as well as local (well, almost local) beers from the pub across the street. Sadly the hot springs were the only disappointment. The area is now overrun with hotels who have taken the best part of the springs. Sitll, you can't ruin the surrounding area so we enjoyed the wines nearby (highly recommend the cheese platter from Zandvleit) and Viljoensdrift on the river was peaceful and pleasant.

Mimosa Lodge's "Olde Worlde" charm remains but it has been beautifully modernised and is easily accessible with secure parking. The restaurant served up a world class meal and the breakfast (included) was also great. We would definitely reccommend Mimosa Lodge for a stay.

Liked the situation, the garden, the restaurant, the staff Didn’t like the lack of electrical plug points and for the price there should have been a fridge. The only place on our long travels in South Africa that didn’t have a fridge! Didn’t like the smell of drains when sitting outside.
