Castel Bois Marie, Maison d'hôtes

Nice Place that needs a Lot of love and attenti on. Dirty pool umbrella and chaise longe broken, the curtain in the room broken. Place without lights at night. It seems rundown. Not worth the price.

What a wonderful place to stay! We only had 2 nights here, but will be going there again. A lovely 19th Century chateau, still owned by the original family, and beautifully modernised without losing the classic feel and style. It really is amazing. Every room is filled with family ornaments, antique pieces and furniture - it is just like a stately home that you would pay just to visit. Spacious grounds, large pool, large rooms, great breakfast. And the price is so inexpensive, we paid more for every other overnight stay on this trip, and none were so impressive.

On the way from Llranc Span, stayed for a night in Axelles 4th generation home. Met by an ex professional circuit player. Told everything about her home she and her Grandmother have put together. What a lovely place to stay. We were in the top room, beautiful bathroom, beautiful bedroom.beautiful linen. The home is set in beautiful grounds.it has plenty of places to sit in sheer quietness in the afternoon sun. There is a swimming pool pool. Her family own 2 restaurants in the area. What a find. Axelle’s love for her home, her family and what she does, just shows from the minute you meet her you will not go wrong stay in here and this young lady looking after you. Great place.

Our one night at Castel Bois Marie was just what we needed after a long drive in a heatwave. Tucked away but not too far off the autoroute the property setting is peaceful and relaxing. The hotel is beautifully decorated and our room had glorious air conditioning. We would definitely stay again when on this route. Thank you for the great hospitality.

We absolutely loved our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. Such a beautiful and historic house. Will be back!!

We were disappointed with this country hotel. It’s a beautiful building though not very welcoming inside. It’s hard to imagine trying to relax in the antique furniture arranged in formal circles in the drawing room. The grounds are extensive with a big garden but not maintained very well and rather overgrown. Our bedroom was lovely though not very big, with beautiful furniture and the bed was very comfortable. But there was no bathroom door for privacy. And we couldn’t believe there were holes in the duvet cover – had to take a photo! Breakfast was OK but there was no fruit except for apples straight from the local trees. We would have appreciated information about the area and where to find nearby cafes, etc. Instead we were sent a stream of emails pushing us to book dinner at the hotel. The emails also sternly advised that check in was only from 5-7pm - very restrictive for a country hotel. It felt like they wanted you in and out as quickly as possible. It would have been more helpful to have been told about the road closure that meant a long detour to reach the hotel. Finally when we left we were overcharged for the room tax. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel

My partner an I stayed for 1 night and it was absolutely delightful. The house is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Axelle, the hostess was lovely, welcoming and took good care of us. Once we had booked the communication was very good. As it is rooms in a house where the owners live, I was concerned that I might feel like we were imposing - but this was not the case at all - the house is so grand and spacious - and quiet. The rooms are stylish, clean and well appointed and we thought it was excellent value for money and only a short drive to Montauban. You can prebook an evening meal (which we didn't) and there was a lovely fresh continental breakfast spread laid on for us in the morning. Superb - will definitely return if we are in the area.
