Clean and comfortable rooms, nice view of the mountains. Half board was disappointing, very limited choice and food was often cold, small portions and tasteless. No options for vegetarians. The young lady working at the bar made great cocktails and was very pleasant.

Really couldn't fault this hotel. Very clean with lovely decor. A few minutes walk to the main street. The best ski in/ski out. The button lift is just a few steps away out of the boot room and you can ski right back. There is an individual boot/ski locker for every room. The room we stayed in was very spacious with a balcony and lovely view. Had a mini fridge and a kettle. The bed was really comfortable. Beautiful light up pictures of mountains above the bed. We were half board and the food was delicious. There isn't much choice on the half board menu but we're not fussy eaters and enjoyed everything we had. Breakfast was great with everything you could want. Staff were all friendly and polite. Particularly would like to thank Nash who was our main server for our evening meal and also his cousin who was lovely too. They always asked us about our day and we're really helpful and informative. Always with a smile. We didn't use thr spa facilities so couldn't comment. If we were to return to Montgenevre we would definitely choose this hotel again.

This was our second stay in Montgenevre and our first at Chalet Blanc. We stayed half board via Inghams at the end of January. Every single member of staff we came across was very friendly and welcoming. Us not really being able to speak French, was a great bonus that their English was so good! We were lucky to be able to get into our rooms early. The room was very clean and this replicated throughout the holiday. Lovely and cosy downstairs in the communal areas too. Good choice of food for breakfast. Some mornings it was busy and items ran out but after a short wait, these were replenished. As mentioned, we were half board. We expected as last year to have a choice of a couple of dishes for each course. There was none here. The waiter came and told us what the courses would be. Was a little worried but with the exception of one course (cheese and dumplings?) for our entire stay, the food was superb. Far better than last year. Special mention to the very kind and friendly sommelier who chatted to us frequently. Very sorry not to have taken your name. Hope the snowboarding is going well! Finally, we had lots of snowfall whilst there which we thought was fantastic. We will return next year.

We travelled with Crystal the week before half term. The hotel is family owned and you can tell by the service, care and attention to every detail from the furnishings to the food and service. We were half board and the food was so delicious the most of the photos I took were of half eaten meals!! The ski room is brilliant, each room has an assigned heated locker with space for 2 x sets of boots, skis and helmets. The room opens up onto a walkway which takes you directly to the oblelisque button lift and slope, making the hotel very much ski-in and ski-out. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the rooms were more than warm enough. The bar area was ideal for a drink before and after dinner in the restaurant and the breakfast servings were perfect to set you up for a day of skiing! Merci, it was parfait!

From the minute we arrived we were more than pleased. A very warm welcome was received and that welcome extended to every aspect of the hotel. The bar and restaurant service was outstanding and we could not fault the young people who served us. The restaurant food was exemplarary. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a very enjoyable stay and will return. Merci beaucoup!

It was a real pleasure staying at Hotel Chalet Blanc. From the warm welcome at check in to the outstanding job by Vince the bar tender for after dinner drinks. Facility was extremely clean and has great atmosphere. Rooms very comfortable with great views. Ski in/out was best I have ever had. Just literally 10 steps from the lockers to lift. We purchased the food plan for Breakfast and Dinner and it was totally worth it. The meals were outstanding and Francois was very very good with the wine selection and telling us about the wine. The spa was very good as well, the steam room and hot tub we enjoyed. Had a 2 hour massage, so relaxing!

Great family skiing holiday at this fantastic, stylish hotel. Perfectly located at the end of the main street, 2 minute walk to the Pharo slope. The most amazing thing about this hotel is the friendly staff- all very helpful, speaking great English for those whose French is very rusty. Lovely decor in the main bar area with pool table and table football, whole hotel very warm with a cosy real fire in the lounge. Heated boot and ski storage lockers. Kettle and mini fridge in the room, with loads of wardrobe space and lovely warm bath and shower. Quiet at night and comfy beds. Only thing which didn’t suit us as a family with teenagers was the food- the menu of the day has very limited choice and virtually no vegetables. I’m sure those without picky eaters will find the food great though. Breakfast was perfect. We loved it here and can’t wait to return!

Just completed a fabulous stay with our two children. It is a terrific value - a fraction of the price of hotels at fancier French resorts but equally nice, if not more so! The hotel is located in the Hameau de l'Obelisque enclave of Montgenevre where there are a few small upscale hotels that are a bit nicer than those in other parts of the town, although everything is close together and you can walk from one of end the village to the other in 10 minutes. The hotel is a true ski-in/ski-out, although we choose to walk 5 minutes to the other side of the pistes and skied back at the end of the day. The staff at the hotel (front desk, restaurant, housekeeping) were all extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms were nicely decorated, modern but still chalet-style, and everything looked brand new (the hotel is three years old). Breakfast was a real highlight - diverse offerings and high quality. We also enjoyed the pool table and the giant foosball/mini foot table that could accommodate 6-8 players - lots of fun with our kids. The only downside was the spa - they offer a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, all of which were fine, but were in an enclosed space rather than outdoors or with any windows, which was a bit disappointing. That said, they said they've got the permits for and will start working on an outdoor pool area next year. (Note to the hotel: The spa area is extremely slippery - we saw several people slip and did ourselves as well). Other thoughts for people considering this hotel and Montgenevre in general: The ski resort itself is huge, even if you don't go all the way to Sestriere (which was about 1 hour by several lifts). The resort is also high and the snow at the top was very good even if snow at the bottom was pretty bad this week - it didn't spoil our skiing at all because there's so much terrain up high. In France, we've skied at Val d'Isere, Courchevel, Megeve and some smaller resorts, but Montgenevre is by far the best value - excellent skiing and accommodations without the ridiculous price tag. That said, if you're looking for apres-ski, gourmet restaurants and designer shops, you won't find them here.
