I recently stayed at Hotel Ruby Foo’s during my trip to Montreal, and overall, I had a very pleasant experience. The hotel offered a comfortable stay, convenient location, and good value for money.
One of the things I appreciated most was the location. Although the hotel is not directly in downtown Montreal, it is conveniently located near a metro station, making it relatively easy to travel around the city. There are also several restaurants, shops, and other amenities nearby. For anyone travelling by car, the location is especially convenient because you can avoid some of the heavy downtown traffic.

Everything was clean and well maintained, and the bed was comfortable enough to get a good night’s sleep after a long day of sightseeing. The bathroom was also clean, with good water pressure and a reliable hot water supply. While the room decor was a little dated, everything was functional and in good condition.
The hotel staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. Both check-in and check-out were quick and straightforward. Whenever I had questions, the staff were polite and willing to assist. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was welcoming, and the common areas were kept clean and tidy.

If you’re looking for a luxurious, newly renovated hotel with a modern design, this might not be your first choice. Also, since the hotel is outside downtown Montreal, you’ll need to allow some extra travel time when visiting major tourist attractions.
However, these were relatively minor issues and didn’t significantly affect my overall experience. What matters most to me when choosing a hotel is cleanliness, comfort, convenience, and reasonable pricing, and Hotel Ruby Foo’s delivered on those expectations.
Overall, I would recommend Hotel Ruby Foo’s to anyone visiting Montreal, especially families, business travellers, or people travelling by car. It provides a comfortable and practical place to stay without having to pay downtown hotel prices.
I enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Montreal.
