Courtyard by Marriott Montreal Downtown

I stayed at this hotel with my adult children, and we had two double rooms. Overall, I would describe it as an average, functional hotel, perfectly adequate but nothing particularly special. The rooms were clean, although they felt dated and could use some updating. One thing to be aware of is that many extras come at an additional cost, which can add up. The biggest advantage is the location. It’s right in the heart of downtown and close enough to Old Montreal to make sightseeing very convenient. The hotel staff were courteous and polite, but less helpful than expected. Overall, it’s a reasonable choice if location and convenience are your priorities, but don’t expect many extras or a particularly memorable hotel experience.

The restaurant isn’t buffet breakfast, the staff were very helpful and genuinely nice. Overall the hotel is very clean, walking distance to Chinatown, Mall, Notre Dame Basilica, restaurants etc. perfect location

Overall is a good stay. What I am not too convinced is the billing process. This booking is pay later(not allow to select) and credit card require for booking. Somehow, the hotel charge my credit card and cancel it the same day which resulted fee incur(exchange rate +fee ~ 8%) for master card which I have to ask for wavier from bank. During check in, I specially requested to change to a Visa card, the visa card been charge $1 and verified. But but but, the hotel instead of charging to the new card, it charge to the old card every night(note: we stay 5 nights)….Again, receptionist told me I can do it during check up and they cannot do anything as that the way of hotel billing which forcing me to BLOCK my master card to reducing the possibility of conversion fee from the bank. What I cannot understand is why not do it once during my check out day instead of charging it daily(pending)….plus the pending status never get cancel after 2 wks….and why cannot remove my old card information

Good location, clean, there is also a tiny shop at the hotel for snacks.

Friendly staff. Nice location. We enjoyed the visit there. Highly recommended
