We stayed here for two nights for a quick wknd trip. The hotel has a lovely internal courtyard with koi pond. The wifi was out so our host gave us a complimentary beverage. Our room was on the top floor. As it is only 3 star it doesn't require a lift, but one would have been appreciated as most couples were older. Our room was an atelier, with two beds above by the use of a spiral staircase. This was positioned so close to the door you could have easily hit your head entering the room. The bed was only 140cm. That's a queen bed size. The decor was adequate but no safe, no wardrobe closet, fridge, , wine opener, no milk tabs for the Nespresso maching, French only TV, not that we were there to watch TV. Unfortunately our room was not cleaned, no replenishments of toilet roll, making the bed...usual things you would get in a three star. We asked for more toilet roll (less than a roll and a bit was on hand when we arrived) but were answered that "you already used the two rolls" reply! We felt so embarrased to have to even ask. Breakfast should have been a self-serve and was pretty basic - juice, rolls, a boiled egg on a timer device. Seems the only staff was a middle aged man, who was pleasant enough but was obviously overwhelmed by the half-dozen guest tables. What was odd was the existance of an espresso machine where he heated the milk for coffee (always on request). We asked if we could have a cappucino but he had to ask his supervisor. We got one in the end. Another couple spied our drink and also asked but were denied and left quickly after. On reflection, it's 90% there but could be so much better if mgmt weren't so stingy with their resources.
