"Good gym, breakfast was varried and delicious. Nearer to the panaroma route. Room floors were dirty, had to clean the floor with the bathroom mat. Not walking distance to hoedspruit proper, will require a paid shuttle. Would have prefer if a free shuttle can be provided by the hotel. Not ideal for visits to kruger national park as it is approx 2 hours to the park. Overall, would recommend as a overnight stop after visiting the panaroma route."

"From the moment we were met at the airport by Nyati staff we felt safe and well cared for. The arrival at the lodge was seamless and we were greeted by the manager who went over the details of our stay. Our villa was amazing and we experienced two elephants near our pool on the first day. Each day the safari was fun and exciting and the guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. The number of animals we saw each day was incredible. The food was excellent and each night the chef presented the dinner and the manager presented the South African wine. We could not have asked for a better experience for our first trip to Africa."

"After four days of self drive safari in Kruger we wanted a few days to relax and recuperate before heading back into the park, and Muunga was the perfect choice! Jenny and Ruan are super friendly and welcoming hosts and really make you feel at home. The rooms and lodge are very stylish and immaculately clean... we'd love to have them decorate our home... and you can tell the passion and care that has gone into in every little detail. The location is wonderful, set in the wildlife estate and surrounded by nature, it's very peaceful and a little slice of paradise. The rooms are wonderfully appointed and very comfortable, with your own private space. We felt they offer excellent value for money. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly and we could happily chat with Ruan about safari and nature all day! We ate out one night at a fabulous local restaurant, then had a fantastic meal at the lodge the second night. We can't wait to come back again."

The food was excellent throughout our stay, and the staff provided warm, friendly service that made us feel very welcome. The property could benefit from some general maintenance and a few updates in places, but nothing that took away from the overall experience. With a bit of attention to these small details, it would be exceptional. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Unembeza to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with great food and hospitality. "

"the Location was great and the restaurant staff were friendly and provided us good service, which is unfortunately the two positive parts of our stay. when we arrive, the reception experience was very poor. No Information was given about the lodge or breakfast until I asked, and we were not even accompanied to our room. The condition of the room was disappointing. The shower and floors were dirty to the point where you could not shower without wearing flip flops. Housekeeping was also below standard. During our 2-night stay, the room was not properly cleaned, the bins were not emptied, dishes were not washed properly and both the bathroom and floors remained dirty. Only the beds were made. This was a very disappointing experience."

"Rukiya is a small scale Safari Camp in the Wild Rivers Nature Reserve close to Kruger NP. The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpfull, really trying to find an answer to all your questions and needs. I have a serious eating disorder what makes travelling complicated in full board schemes, but staff and kitchen did a tremendous job to provide adequate dishes for me. Because there was a small problem with the tent we were meant to stay, we got a free upgrade to the river house, a very comfortable and welcoming surprise. White Rivers itself isn't a big 5 reserve and therefore the sightings in this reserve can feel less rewarding. Morning game drives are done in the Balule Reserve, which is a beautiful Big 5 reserve. We saw rhino, elephant and buffalo, besides herds of antelope, zebra, hippo and so on, plus countless amazing birds."

Everything was outstanding - the accommodation, food, service, attention to detail but most importantly the game drives!! Our driver and tracker were incredible, doing everything in their power to ensure that we saw every possible animal safely and in comfort. We spent 2 hours tracking lions and found a whole beautiful pride. It was so exciting and fun! We saw the big 5 and so many others and felt so lucky. I have not been to other game reserves but could not recommend this one highly enough. The lodge and facilities are beautiful as is the whole reserve."

The rooms are beautiful, again with stunning views of the canon and the best views from the bath! It is excellent value for money, including views, comfort and breakfast! Cleanliness was 100%, rooms and communical areas, such as the pool and dining area was clean and tidy. Everyone working at umvangati house were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The noise level was low, very quiet and a great place to relax. The food was amazing and everything we ate was delicious! Especially the gluten free options, I had a chocolate lava cake one evening and it was the best gluten free pudding I have ever eaten! We honestly had the best 3 nights here before heading home and I would 100% recommend!"

However, our highlight was literally witnessing giraffes fighting😂😂😂😂. The room was amazing and clean, the outdoor shower was everything 🥹🥹🥹 the breakfast was delicious. The pool was good. "Our stay at Return Africa's camp in the Pafuri concession near Kruger National Park was incredible and exactly what we were going to experience. The personal touch provided by staff to all of their guests was incredible and unlike any experience that I've ever had. My 3 day stay was in November 2025. Beyond the personal level of service provided by the staff, the facilities were really nice. Our "standard tent" included a beautiful room with indoor and outdoor showers and a private toilet. All of their rooms overlook the river she have incredible views. Our guide, Andile, was great and each guest is assigned to a guide for the duration of their stay when possible. Birding is clearly a primary activity and specialty for the guides. But there are also many large game available to be seen (I believe everything except lions and rhinos are typically present in the region). I booked massages while on site which were great and a really nice way to spend a portion of the day between game drives. Our drives were from 530 to 9 or 930 am each day. We also had a 2nd drive from 430 to 7 pm each day. Each drive included a tea or happy hour stop with light snacks. Meal options were incredible with numerous menu items to select from. The staff take great pride not only in the quality of the food, but in the culinary experience provided to each guest. Regarding tipping... While the guidelines suggest tipping all of the staff at once at the end of the stay, I asked for clarification and confirmed that it is entirely appropriate and acceptable to tip our guides separately from the staff as a whole. We also tipped the massage practitioner separately."
