This listing including many of the pictures are entirely misleading. Self check in was insulting. It only means that the innkeeper is never there and that you pay in advance and let yourself in the front door using the code which is the year the place was built and can be seen on the corner stone on the front of the house. How secure is that? We were not impressed. The gardens are nice. The rooms are not near as nice as the photos make them out to be. It may have been that nice at one time, but not now. We stayed a few nights and put the sign up the next morning for the room to be cleaned. We got back and a note on the door said houseeping per room was only done once per stay after checkout. If more is needed, it's an extra charge. There was nothing said and nothing in the online agreement about this. No rooms have microwaves. It's one micro in a common kitchen. There is no laundry service and they won't let you use the washer and dryer in the common kitchen. We thought this was a B&B? Nope! It might have been at sometime but not now. We saw all these photos of great looking food and friends that recommended this said they had a restaurant and tea room. Not a chance. No breakfast, no lunch, no dinner. You want tea or coffee? Make your own with the coffee and coffee maker and tea and kettle in the common kitchen provided. For breakfast we were told to go to their other business down the street and we would get 20% off. We went, it was OK, no 20% off. Girl at counter had no idea what we were talking about and said the manager was away. Gift shop is tiny with really expensive things like hats for over $100 and artwork for hundreds of dollars. The bed was comfortable and there was a private bathroom and refrigerator but would we return or recommend? Given the high price ($190/night+++) and not getting the services that Tripadvisor and our friends said was here? Nope. Next Morden visit we'll go to a hotel nearby that includes breakfast.

We used the entire Bella’s Castle building and grounds for our daughters wedding and the place was perfect for this event. The building easily accommodated the wedding party and the grounds were the perfect setting for a beautiful wedding. There was a peace of mind knowing that had the weather not cooperated we had the option of moving the guests under the tent. We had one small issue throughout the evening, but Lily was extremely accommodating in coming up with a solution that we were very pleased with. Throughout the day her and Chris did their best to make sure we had our needs looked after. The small glitches were easily overlooked when you saw how they were willing to do anything to make the day a great one. I would recommend looking into this venue if you are considering a venue for a wedding.

We were excited to be able to drive to Morden’s B n B accommodation called Bella’s Castle in the later half of June 2023. Unfortunately, the breakfast part of B n B was not offered, so I cannot comment on their breakfasts. We stayed in the Oval Room and it was comfy cozy. It had an extremely comfortable double bed, a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, an HD TV with Netflix and Apple TV, a fridge, coffee maker, central air, and two large windows. In the middle of the week it was not very busy, so we found our second floor accommodation very quiet. I noticed the TV remote control did not have a volume button so you cannot adjust the volume too high so as to annoy other guests. The bed has a high quality, comfortable mattress with a warm comforter. I fell asleep immediately. Inside the “castle,” which was built in 1902 and meticulously restored over the years, the current owners show off a lot of antique tables, chairs, inspirational posters (likely for sale) and photos. Outside, they have an area for parties/weddings and after walking around we found many little nooks through-out the property where you can sit, read and/or relax, and gently rock back and forth on the many old mechanical chairs. Our two night stay in the Oval Room at Bella’s Castle was peaceful and relaxing. For a comfortable, quiet night sleep we recommend this B n B while in Morden.

We stayed here for one night for our wedding anniversary. The Castle, even with the updates/changes, has so much charm and atmosphere to it. definitely retains it's 1902 charm. The owners are awesome to talk to and even the chef came out to talk to us to see how our excellent breakfast was. The room (Oval Room) was clean, comfortable and very nicely done. The air conditioning worked awesome (it was a ridiculously hot weekend), free strong Wi-Fi and TV with streaming services included. You can have your breakfast in the dining room or out on the veranda and there are several places to just hang out outside. We arrived on a motorcycle (which is why the AC was so important) and they let us park it in the rear driveway rather than leaving it exposed on the front street. We'll definitely be back, if for no other reason but to stay in the other rooms. Mike & Shari B
