It was my birthday.. They give me a sparkling wine for celebration.. It is a recharged trip.. Even though I am not good with alcohol.. I am thankful.. I make good use of the in room onsen.. I went in it to soak more than 10 times and rest every 15 mins.. Best feeling ever..

Nice lake view and a decent environment. The service was alright too. However, what I couldn't understand was the overwhelming number of towels and other amenities in the room, contrasting sharply with the completely empty minibar. Overall, it didn't meet the Marriott standards I've experienced domestically, more like a lower-end Four Points by Sheraton. The price was acceptable, I guess. The hotel dinner tasted good but wasn't very good value for money. Staying a few more days would be good, the scenery here is quite nice.

This hotel is a renovated old building, but the refurbishment was very thorough. The room was clean and new, with a great view. The staff were enthusiastic and helpful. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus service. Besides the dinner being a bit pricey, there's really nothing to complain about. A beautiful hotel with a stunning view of Lake Biwa. The Shuttle bus to and from Katata station made it convenient, as long as you time your transport well, and the staff were very friendly and professional. We recommend staying here for a more peaceful and luxurious experience in Kyoto outside of the city, and it would also be good to visit shirahige shrine and cycle around Lake Biwa!
