Lunenburg Arms Hotel

We arrived late at night after a full day's travel, but Tammy's smile and friendly welcome at the front desk made us feel great. Our room was nicely furnished with modern furniture and accessories. Everything was of good quality and in great condition. The room was very clean, and that includes the bathroom, which was modern and well-lit. The air conditioning was quiet and worked well. Our bed was very comfortable. Our room was small, with not much space to move around or store things. But the Lunenberg Arms is in an older building, and that's how the rooms were made. More important is that the renovations were top quality. Our room and indeed the entire property look terrific. We truly enjoyed our stay, and highly recommend the Lunenberg Arms.

No bar. No breakfast. No restaurant . A room with no facilities. They have not changed there website but have closed their restaurant and bar. No breakfast in the morning no explanation. No reduction in price. Rain was lashing down when we needed dinner but no option but to find somewhere to eat. Same in the morning. Do not think of going here.

We had a very good stay here. Our room was huge & had a kitchenette. There were a couple of issues which we pointed out to the front desk. There are no safety grab bars beside the toilet & the shower is not a roll in shower. The wheelchair push button at the entrance was not working so anyone in a wheelchair would not be able to gain access to the hotel. There is an outdoor patio but we were unable to use it due to it being rented out to a TV film crew. We went & sat down a the wharf instead.

Lovely stay in an efficiency unit during the Folk Harbour Festival. Parking is across the street, first come first served. (We were shut out once & parked on the street without problem.) You could glimpse the harbor through roof tops from our "harbor view" room on the second floor. (In summer upper floors are rented entirely to bike tours.) Newly renovated minimalist style. Very basic kitchen equipment. - We did not do any cooking, but ate many breakfasts & lunches at the hotel. Excellent location right in downtown. Couple minutes walk to most restaurants & shops and all the festival veues except the big tent. We have already rebooked for next year!

We were booked by Candvac to stay for two nights in this hotel, the only problem was this agency had not confirmed the fact with the hotel, so we arrived from England with a false confirmation and the hotel was full. Whilst this was no fault of the hotel, Judith on reception was most understanding of our predicament and went out of her way to find us alternative accommodation in another hotel. We cannot thank her enough, she is a wonderful ambassador for the Lunenburg Arms and also for Canadian Tourism. Which is more than can be said for Candvac who couldn't be reached by phone when I found out the news, I had to leave a recorded message. They subsequently apologised and said the problem was caused by a human error.

Stayed for 2 nights in the loft big room. It is a very nice little hotel . We were welcomed by all the staff we met. All of them are very helpful, smiling and nice. Room was very clean, bed comfortable, only unfortunately the bathroom and toilet are down stairs while we were sleeping upstairs. Lucky us the room had also a nice kitchenette , because we had breakfast in the room. The hotel has no breakfast or any other restaurant. It is located on a busy road, but at night it is very quiet. It is a very good place to stay while visiting Lunenburg.
