Dormie House

This was our first stay here and we were pleasantly surprised. We only needed a room for one night but would have happily stayed several nights. It’s a beautiful, historic building with full amenities and warm, eager to please staff. The grounds are beautifully kept and worth a little explore. we had dinner on site which was lovely, no complaints whatsoever! We would happily return.

The room condition was very old and musty. The windows overlooked the putting green with a decent view of the golf course. Unfortuntely, the window frames and blinds were both broken and in need of replacement. The kind-sized bed comprised of 2 single beds put together with the carpet badly stained with a bad odour. The walls were old and needed a new coat of paint and the bathroom was damp with the toilet bowl, sink and shower area very badly maintained and in need of a renovation. The floor boards in both our room and in the room above us were creaking throughout the night when anyone was walking. Unfortunatley, this will be the last time we will stay here and opted to check out first thing in the morning.

We stayed here for one night and had dinner in the restaurant. The staff at Dormie House are incredible - so helpful and friendly. All of the guys who helped at check-in and dinner were so welcoming. We had a delicious meal and dessert, it was hard to narrow down a selection from the many choices on the menu! This was followed by a lovely sleep in the comfortable bed, which we really needed as we were taking part in a big event the next day. Everything was clean and fresh. I attend an annual event in Bundanoon and was so glad to have discovered the Dormie House. I'll be back next year!

Refurbished room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Due to the nature of it being an old building it was quite noisy and could hear doors slamming, floorboards creaking and conversations through walls. Was attending a wedding locally so this was a convenient and affordable place to stay.

Very impressed by the history and the ambience of the place. Easy access, nice location on golf course.

Nice place although our room overlooking the golf course had golfers wandering right past our window and chatting. We didnt expect that we would be beside the practice area. What was REALLY annoying was the UHT milk tubs in our fridge just curdled when we made a coffee. Surely its not too hard to replace these every decade or so? We went to a service station to get fresh milk. Next morning we ordered a bacon and egg roll and a hash brown in the dining room. We waited 30 minutes and it still didnt arrive so we cancelled the order. Bar staff were very apologetic and gave us a refund, and also a free B&E roll. Kudos to the young man.
