This was our second time visiting Beechmont Estate, and this time around, it had a different feel. New Managers James and Phoebe have brought a fresh approach to the estate, professional and detailed. The food was incredible, and both dinner and breakfast were exceptional. The service in the restaurant was excellent, and the servers allowed us quality time to chat and were not interrupting us all the time. The cabins are cosy, and the linens are good quality to sleep on. The estate is beautiful and serene. Well done, James and Phoebe :-)

We celebrated my birthday with an overnight stay at this peaceful and indulgent location. Attention to detail is faultless from check in to departure. Our cabin was beautifully presented and the bed was so comfortable. Dinner was absolutely amazing (the waygu beef is extraordinary) and the breafast ' hamper' was also delicious. They make great margaritas as well :). Particular thanks to Phoebe, such a great host and manager and Yo who engaged so warmly with us and provided fabulous coffee with our breakfast. Chefs all deserve special mention, too.

A lovely place in a beautiful part of the world. A lot of effort and $ has clearly gone into this farm stay, it’s very well done. The restaurant is 5/5; someone in that kitchen is a super-star! .. also very good value for the quality. These guys have clearly been hit hard by the shortage of hospo staff, I met 4 staff who had been there less than a month. As a result, we had some odd occurrences like two attempts to clear our plates half way through our meal and a “set” in room fire sans paper and kindling. We also got the handicapped bathroom with 3/4 length curtains that meant the entire bathroom getting soaked after each shower. Not withstanding these issues, i would recommend

Beechmont Estate, a shared experience A need of a forty eight hour recouping of thoughts, feelings, friendship and a desire for excellent country cuisine is required, Beechmont Estate is your destination of choice. Settled on a ridgeline bordering the Lamington National Park, Beechmont Estate with its central building of reception, bar and restaurant dominates the skyline. Looking down from this central position is seen the nest of comfortably appointed hillside purchased cabins completing the Estate. Prepared and presented to be shared, breakfast and dinner are the Estate’s featured meals. With selection for each menu varying daily dinners never go wanting. For those knowing there is always the surprise in the unknown, for the evening meal the selection of the Paddock-to-Plate choice is rewarded with a sumptuous multi course presentation limited only by the restaurant chef’s imagination. Matching wines are of course, dinners choice. For lunch light meals are available, but for only those who think too much food is not enough. Bush-walks both long and short within the nearby national park are a featured daytime option. Then again so is being purchased on the balcony of one’s cabin with a partner enjoying a mid afternoon glass of wine enjoying a moment in time while anticipating the coming evening’s mealtime experience. Of course none of this can happen without an always ready to assist staff, and that they are. Yes a shared experience at Beechmont Estate is something to be had.

Second visit to this place. Glad to see they have a new chef. Loved the cabin, location, restaurant and staff. Definitely 5 star this time. Will be back again for the food, wine & atmosphere 😊. Only disappointment was that the kitchen gardens were poorly kept.

A truly wonderful weekend of relaxation and unwinding. Rugging up beside the fire with a glass of wine and the warmth of the sun’s rays toasting yourself. Time to sit and read or paint, listen to the birds and then when the evening arrives enjoy a cocktail and the most delicious evening meal. Foodies, this place is for you! Steak that melts in your mouth and food thoughtfully curated and exquisitely presented. Gorgeous accommodation, with a wonderfully comfortable bed and everything you need. A unforgettable weekend. Thank you.

The rooms are lovely and quite spacious. The king bed is comfortable and the pillows are great. The deck is a good size to sit out and relax. The log fire is great and makes the room exceptionally warm and there is reverse cycle aircon also. The massages were excellent with Elle and Mel. The cocktails up at the lodge are made well and it is a lovely place to sit and relax and meet new people. I wasn't overly happy with all the meals, some were good, some not so good. Breakfast needs work and I would prefer to have a choice which they don't give. It cannot be that hard to have a couple of choices. As well as the massage ladies, Tom and Matilda were staff who went out of their way to help. All in all a great experience which will be done again and recommended to others also.

A stay at Hazelwood Estate, just a short drive from the Gold Coast, is the perfect mid week getaway to slow down, recharge the batteries and enjoy delicious food. The cabins are comfortable and have everything you could possibly require. The log fire was inviting on the chilly evenings and catching the morning sun on the deck was a perfect way to start the day with a cuppa. Make sure you book at least one visit to the Spa where Mel and Elle will pamper you with a massage, facial or both! Sunset drinks on the patio at the clubhouse are a perfect way to ease into dinner which will not disappoint. Local produce is sourced, prepared to perfection and thoroughly enjoyed. Each night, the dishes are tweaked slightly for a different taste sensation. From the moment you arrive at Hazelwood you slow down and enjoy the view while the attentive staff make your stay comfortable and memorable. The staff are knowledgeable regarding the food and wine menus and happy to explain the finer points of all without appearing stuffy or condescending. Overall, we can’t recommend Hazelwood Estate enough……when we were driving out the front gates we were already planning our return visit

We read the online reviews about the place and the quality of food and wine served at the restaurant and went with a positive vibe anticipating a fantastic lunch. Hence, each of us ordered a 2 course lunch with the wagyu steak for main... Lo and behold, not sure if that's really wagyu beef the restaurant had served. Minimal marbling and honestly tasted like a piece of normal steak which I usually cook at home. Wagyu beef is not uncommon for us and what was served, if its really wagyu in its true definition, did not make the cut at all.
