Guest UserWife trouble to so far over Tenant live and the China and time one trap and teens of favorite hotel. The hotel has a mix of Japanese and Scandinavian influence and it was beautifully decorated. The dining hall looks like the inside of a ship. The beds elevated off the floor inside the room. The showers and toilet area are spacious, and the whole room is incredibly comfortable. The hotel is impeccably cleaned, and then the breakfast is phenomenal. This hotel is located on the quieter side of the Sun Moon Lake, which our family prefers. The other side is way too busy. Keep in mind, though most of the stores are closed by 8 PM so if you’re seeking a more lively nightlife side of the lake might not be the best. If you’re looking for a quieter vibe and area, this hotel is perfect.

PiglegtooPleasantly surprised by the hotel. The room is a tatami room with comfortable futon beds. The highlight is the lovely view of the lake on two sides of the room. The layout is similar to what one finds in a typical Japanese onsen hotel with wc that is separate from the bathroom. Pajamas are provided. So nice to be able to soak in our private onsen bath after a day of activities in SML.
The breakfast is amazing in terms of quantity and quality; it is however geared towards Asian food. Bagels are delicious.
The hotel is opposite one of the entrances to the walkway around the lake so it’s convenient for strolls around the lake.
Wish we could stay for a few more days.

The room is a small wooden cabin with a subtle woody scent, and it's generally clean. The bathroom has a bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak after a tiring hike up Hehuan Mountain.
The B&B owner also provides earplugs, which are handy if you're sensitive to noise. However, I didn't need them during my stay as it was quiet and I didn't encounter any noise issues.
The TV is large, but unfortunately, there's a slight buzzing sound when it's on.
The pillows are quite flat. I ended up propping mine up with clothes and a jacket to sleep comfortably. If you prefer a fluffier pillow, you might find it uncomfortable.
On a side note, there are so many adorable kittens in the B&B – it's a cat lover's paradise!
They also offer a complimentary late-night snack, which was incredibly filling. The owner kept worrying that we wouldn't have enough to eat! 😂
Everyone at the B&B was very friendly and enthusiastic about chatting. I also got to try the seasonal passion fruit, which was delicious and highly recommended!

The building is filled with the scent of cypress wood. Although it's an older property, it's very well-maintained! I heard it's going to be renovated soon, and I hope they preserve its original wooden cabin charm. When I visit Sun Moon Lake again, I'll definitely choose to stay here.

This time we celebrated New Year's Eve at Sun Moon Lake, and my wife absolutely loved the trip. We stayed two nights at Sun Moon Lake, and Shui She was our accommodation for the second night. The ground floor was very cozy, and right next door was their own bicycle rental shop (we didn't try it this time as my wife is pregnant). Compared to the neighboring Qingjingze, Shui She is a newer B&B. The room was as expected, not particularly large, truly a B&B experience. Breakfast offered simple choices like burgers, sandwiches, and soy milk from a breakfast diner. The bed was comfortable. However, while the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, the drainage system was clearly not well-designed. Even without a bathtub, after a shower, water would flood outside despite the shower door being closed tightly, and quite severely so, with the floor not drying until the next day. This was the biggest drawback of our stay; everything else was fine.

The view from the balcony of the room is great, especially the sunrise. The breakfast is local style of porridge with a good spread of simple dishes to go with the porridge. Free flow of coffee and tea, and soya milk, and milk. Free flow of flour pancakes, fruits, etc. The location is good, just nice enough to be near the pick-up point for the 4.00am bus that we booked to go up to Hehuanshan of the stars and sunrise view. Very friendly and helpful couple who manage the checking in and out, and for any help we needed.

We had a great stay! The host was incredibly helpful and friendly, providing excellent recommendations for local attractions and even helping us secure discounted tickets. The room was clean and offered a beautiful view. A highlight was the breakfast—simple yet delicious. To top it off, the host kindly arranged for staff to drop us off at the Shuishe main bus station. Truly thoughtful service!

This cabin can accommodate 7 people, but there were five of us. The bed was quite firm, which I actually preferred, as I'm usually a very light sleeper and particular about beds, often not falling asleep until 4 AM.
Breakfast was consistent: two slices of toast, a small salad with two slices of ham, and an egg. I really liked the wide selection of drinks available, including multigrain cereal, milk tea, black coffee, and juice.
The owner is a young man. The dogs and cats are adorable, and you can pet them, but remember to wash your hands afterwards.
The road leading up to the cabin was very winding and a bit challenging to navigate (especially on a scooter/bike). However, the cabin itself was very comfortable. The water pressure was excellent, and the water was very hot. We did encounter occasional bugs, which didn't bother me, but the kids were quite scared – though they were mostly just geckos, flies, and ants. The mountain views were beautiful.
Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any stars or the sunrise during our stay. All in all, it's a great place to stay, and the mountain air is incredibly fresh!

I stayed at this hotel one night. The hotel provides free bikes. When I tried to check out a bike, two staff members talked to me. When I asked which bike I could ride faster, they did not answer my question. Some bikes are just very slow no matter what we do, so I don't want to get one like that. When I asked how long it would take if I wanted to ride in each direction from the hotel without a stop, the male staff member answered my question, but the female staff member kept on talking ”Don't ride fast. You are going to get into accidents.” Whenever I talked about ”fast” like ”how fast”, ”how long it takes”, she just kept on talking ”Fast is not good.” I am a mature individual and I will not go fast if I could not. She just refused to provide information that I was looking for. As long as I return the bike intact, the rest is my own responsibility.

Xander WangA well equipped hotel in a quiet spot in town. Conveniently located off the main road with a great buffet breakfast and dinner. Service was great.
The upkeep of rooms could have been a little better as some amenities were a little worn, such as the carpet and console. Loved the onsen water in the bathtub.
The children appreciated the complementary jelly cups and cookies left for us each day.
