Galini Studios ★★★

"We stayed at Galini Studios from the 6th of July till the 17th of July (a family of three from Belarus). The room is rather cosy with a kitchen area (a stove, a fridge, a sink, pots and pans, plates, cutleries). Before our arrival we had asked the owner to put a microwave oven and he did it for us, which was really very nice of him. There is a big balcony where you can have your meals. The accommodation has 2 buildings: Galini studios that is across the road (70 metres from the beach) and Galini Sea Apartments which is right on the beach. The beach is very cosy, it is private (belongs to Galini Studios ) with free sunbeds and umbrellas. You can never find there crowds of people, and that's nice, I think. The sea is gorgeous: clear calm water, the colour of which is fantastic! Shops, cafes, a bus stop - everything is near. What is possible to change to make staying at Galini Studios even more comfortable: 1) to repair air conditioners because ours didn't cool the room enough, 2) to improve Wi-Fi connection ( sometimes in our room it was impossible to load pictures and videos). But the bonus is that we had Wi-Fi on the beach (not very good but still it was possible to surf the internet) 3) to provide liquid soap or shower gel in the bathroom and dishwashing liquid, sugar and salt in the kitchen. To my mind, it' s not expensive for the owner, but it 'll give more comfort for the guests. To sum up, we enjoyed our staying at Galini Studios very much. If we come back to Corfu (the island is fantastic!), we'll be glad to stay at Galini Studios again. Good luck, Yuliya."

"Hi All, Just came back from Corfu and decided to leave review about the property we stayed.. for start it was miss sold as they advertised property with pool but when we get there pool was empty no water and all the rooms and tilts was stinky with fungus smell and when we complaint about it . property management advised us to cancel booking with Booking .com so then they will give us 50 % discount .. also Wi-Fi doesn't work inside rooms .. very poor service as well .."

"The property is divided into two parts: the seafront apartments and the studios separated by the road. I stayed in the studios. The room isn't bad, with a small kitchenette and a small terrace, but it needs a thorough renovation. The rooms and furnishings are old and worn, but the bathroom in particular needs a complete overhaul. It's small and cramped, with the shower just below the floor covered by a malfunctioning curtain, resulting in flooding after every shower. Furthermore, there's no reception for both parts of the property. For assistance, we were given the phone number of a person named Stavros, who was always kind and helpful, but you need to find him first. We spoke to people who were staying in the apartments, and they said theirs was renovated and comfortable, so I don't know if the studios are being renovated as well, but the review is currently negative. On the plus side, the private beach with loungers and umbrellas is available for guests."

"First impression when getting out of taxi was this place looks nice, reception lovely and cool and very welcoming then you go to the lift and immediately think this cud do with updating, got to room and same impression, very dark, minimal storage, the shower cubicles have to be seen to be believed they are that small also doors leading out to balcony shud have been replaced 30 years ago, wooden and single pane glass with archaic locking, the view from the balcony cudnt be faulted though. Where do we start with the food? Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and we always enjoyed it, went downhill after that though, the lunch and dinner offerings was always a choice between chicken, pork or spaghetti bolognaise and if I say the microwave was used by us at every meal time then you get the fact that the food was usually like warm at best, we ate out 3 nights, also if you have kids there’s nothing like nuggets or burgers available they have to choose from same food options so also be prepared to warm up the chips!!!!! The pool bar opened at 10 and was open till 11 at night, problem was that even at busy times there was only ever one person serving also it’s the only all inclusive I’ve been to where they actually use a measuring thing to do your spirits 🤣🤣. The swimming pool was lovely and warm but could do with being bigger for the amount of people at hotel, the sunbeds were squashed in to get as many in as possible. The other option is to use the beach over the road but again this is small and stony with no sand at all, if you’re planning on using it then either take good solid beach shoes with you or buy some from supermarket. Entertainment, we were there for 7 nights and had actual daytime entertainment on only 1 day that was aqua gym and then beer ball or sumthin, every other day was just the entertainment lady called Lorna playing music thru a speaker, the Saturday night we were there she said remember karaoke tonight at 9, we went down and instead there was an 18 rated film on on a huge screen and it was full of swearing and killing so the area cleared rather quickly. The entertainers they bring in at night were ok but there is no audience interaction from them at all apart from the ones who do the Greek night. The singers they had on were ok but all sounded very much the same. Can’t fault the restaurant staff, bartenders or cleaners they all work very hard. We as a couple wouldn’t come back here due to the rooms and mainly the food"

"The hotel is in a nice location overlooking the sea, it has a private beach which is nothing special but the waters are beautiful as well as a beautiful area with a swimming pool. It is a quiet hotel and ideal for a peaceful holiday. Unfortunately, however, the cleanliness is inadequate ... both in our room and in the playground which was very dirty so even if my children went there. In the room behind the bedside tables we found forgotten items from previous holidaymakers ... Dust fluff in the wardrobe, bugs on both the floor and in the wardrobe, on the 2nd floor all of this, that is 4 according to the hotel elevator which was also very old and made noise! ​​The balcony was constantly in the water whenever we used the air conditioning. Very cheap room construction ... even the iron for the towels in the bathroom came out and we had to put it back in constantly. Everything seemed ready to collapse in the all-inclusive room we chose. The room smelled from the moment we first entered and the bathroom had neither ventilation nor a window. I asked for toilet paper and a foot towel for the bathroom. The pillows and some mattresses were completely uncomfortable. The sheets were very thin and cheap, which were probably also small in size as the bottom sheet was constantly missing and the mattress was left uncovered in places. The food was generally good and the staff was willing to serve and justify the unjustified. It definitely needs a serious renovation. I don't think it's worth the money and I wouldn't choose it again even though its location is good."

"Location: Absolutely excellent! The hotel is perfectly situated, making it easy to get around and explore the area. Cleanliness: The room was reasonably clean, though there’s room for improvement in some areas, such as frequent cleanings. Service: The service was below expectations. Room was not cleaned once in 5 days. Facilities: Facilities left much to be desired, with basic amenities. Overall, the hotel’s location is its strongest point, but improvements are needed in service and facilities to provide a better guest experience."

"I can confirm all the previous reviews regarding this place are accurate. Everything is done to a very high standard. It is very comfortable , spotlessly clean everywhere. Good air con and black out curtains. Just one observation- the bathroom needs a couple of hooks and a shelf as there is nowhere to put anything. The immediate area is quite run down with abandoned derelict businesses however just 5 minutes walk away it is lovely. Pretty harbour, lovely restaurants and bars."

"What a fantastic stay we had at Gina Studios, looked after wonderfully by Andreas and his family. Lovely setting with views out to the sea. The new infinity pool is picture postcard perfect. We had breakfast everyday at the bar area which was excellent. Lots of restaurants nearby and 5 minutes walk into the town centre. We had a twin room with a side patio. The garden facing rooms have a nicer view. The en suite shower room looked new and although small was great. One word of warning, to get to Gina is about 100 yards up a slope with some steps but we managed it fine, just take your time. Will definitely return."
