Fjalladýrð Guesthouse ★★★
"This was my favorite place we stayed in Iceland, which is saying a lot considering the other wonderful properties we visited. This is like a tiny village set far back in the country. As we drove in, a herd of long horned goats were trotting down the road, and Tova the Fjalladyrd reindeer came to greet us when we pulled in. The lovely sod buildings and church added to the charm. We had both dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. They offer several traditional Icelandic recipes on the menu, such as Moss Soup, farm raised lamb, reindeer, and cod. I don't know that I would want to eat Moss Soup everyday, but it was a great experience to try it. Breakfast was very good the next morning. Our family group of five stayed in the large cabin. We were very comfortable. The only thing that would have made our stay even better is if there was a bathroom on the 2nd floor where most of the bedrooms were located. But we so enjoyed our stay that we considered that a mild inconvenience to walk downstairs for the restroom. Absolutely lovely setting, friendly service, lovely historic buildings all made this a wonderful, memorable stay!"
Hotel Hallormsstadur ★★★
"On the way to the hotel, we were still concerned about the facilities since it’s in the middle of Iceland. However, once we arrived, we felt quite comfortable. The room was spacious, and the view from the canteen during breakfast was especially beautiful!"
Álfheimar Hotel ★★
"Convenient location, very close to the seagull attractions, only about 5km"
Blabjorg Resort ★★
"The location is so great, by the sea. The room is clean and tidy equipped with everything. The resort provides Nespresso machine in the room. The view from the balcony is so stunning. Highly recommend."
Hérað - Berjaya Iceland Hotels ★★★★
"Room and toilet are spacious. No staff were seen after 11 pm. at the reception desk."
Tehúsið Hostel ★★
"As the owner and head guide at OttoTheViking, I use accommodations all over Iceland, and Tehússið Hostel is easily one of the cleanest, coziest, and most welcoming places I stay. The atmosphere is fantastic, the rooms are spotless and comfortable, and the café-bar has great local character. The staff is warm and helpful, making it a top-tier base for exploring the Eastfjords. Highly recommended to anyone traveling through Egilsstaðir."
Eyjólfsstaðir Guesthouse Egilsstaðir ★★
"This place is super clean and neat. I loved the breakfast. The view is amazing! I’ll definitely recommend this place."
Guesthouse Svartiskógur Egilsstaðir ★★★
"This is the best value for money accommodation in this area. It has its own bathroom, a beautiful forest outside the window, and a large green area in front of the hotel. The only drawback is that the water heater only provides 50 liters of hot water in total. After taking a shower, there is only cold water left."
Seydisfjördur Guesthouse ★★★
"Comfy and warm guesthouse. Host is very friendly & helpful. Located at quiet and serenity area. Walking distance to a waterfall place. Snow mountain can be seen clearly from our room."

Hotel Framtid
"hotel building is very nice located in front of harbour in a small town. room is not big. bed is a bit soft. restaurant is reasonable."
Hótel Eyvindará
"Independent cottage, basic facilities, good breakfast"
Hótel Valaskjálf
"The hotel is conveniently located near restaurants, supermarkets, and numerous gas stations, making it convenient for self-driving travelers. The front desk staff was helpful, not only helping an elderly person with their luggage but also offering information on the Aurora Borealis sightings at night. The breakfast was varied and delicious."
Bankinn - Hotel by Aldan
"Room is great. We had the whole house to ourselves. Check in was a bit confusing at first but was able to figure it out eventually. Nice place to stay in to experience a local housing. We had a nice view of the church just beside the house. We paid for breakfast. The spread was ok and the lady serving us was nice. Made us hot chocolate and espresso 😊"
Snæfell - Hotel by Aldan
"a charming hotel in a small town, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The room was cozy and well-decorated, creating a welcoming atmosphere. However, I did find the kitchen lacking; it would have been more convenient to have an induction stove and a microwave, along with some basic cooking equipment like pots and pans. While there was a supermarket across the road, stocking up on raw food proved challenging for a short stay. Additionally, the absence of nearby restaurants made dining options limited. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel provided a comfortable base for my visit."
Lónsleira Apartments
"Lovely house in Seydisfjordur and it offers all you need kitchenware. We had a pleasant stay."
Lindarbrekka
"We stayed one night in an apartment on the second floor. We arrived at night and it was very dark. The next day we realized that the view was impressive. Comfortable beds, heating, wifi, kitchen equipped with mini-fridge, a stove and utensils. It is located inside a farm and right on the Ring Road. The only problem I found was that you could hear all the noise from the apartment next door."
Krákhamar Apartments
"Everything about this place was perfect. The friendly owner, the clean and spacious rooms, and even the beautiful aurora. My stay here was fantastic and unforgettable."
Hotel Studlagil
"Although the rooms are simply furnished, they are still very comfortable. The hotel is close to the basalt canyon, making it a good stopover. The breakfast and dinner were also quite good."
Lyngás Guesthouse
"Wonderful location, place, price and service. We love here."
Lagarfell Studios
"The studio is close to a supermarket (5 minutes drive). There is cooking space inside the room. Washing machine is available in the lobby."
Hotel 1001 Nott
"Room was spacious, new and clean. Would have preferred a kettle as the Nespresso machine has residual taste of coffee but the front desk offered a jug of hot water to bring into our room which was great. Pillow was too thin. About the toilet, would have preferred a curb at the shower stall so it doesnt get too wet. Breakfast was great; eggs were well made, and food was fresh and tasty."
Framtid Camping Lodging Barrels
"The service staff in the hotel are very friendly and the prices in the restaurant are very reasonable. The room in the camping area has a comfortable temperature and the bed is very comfortable, but the space is a bit insufficient and not suitable for luggage. The bathroom and toilet are outside but it's warm and not cold at all."
Dúlluhús - Apartments by Aldan
"Just next to the church, the kitchen is quite big, close to the city, you can go to many attractions within five minutes by car, but unfortunately the nearby shops will be lighted at night, it is difficult to see the aurora ~"
