The hotel is in a very good location, right on the beach. You can sit in the restaurant and watch the sea. It takes two or three minutes to walk to the beach. The room is not big, but it is very clean and tidy, and the decoration is distinctive, as the name suggests - ship

Fabulous short stay.! Have stayed several times before and every time have been well looked after by the fantastic staff, they are so friendly it's just like staying with old friends. The rooms are always clean and well serviced with daily top ups of tea, coffee and bottled mineral water. The breakfast is freshly cooked, plentiful and sets you up for the whole day. Ate every evening in the restaurant and the food was tasty and well presented. Would I stay again, definitely !

Last orders for lunch is advertised as 2.45pm so based on this we drove several miles to find that they had stopped taking orders at 2.30pm. What a waste of our time and fuel. Plus we were then too late to get in anywhere else. What a lovely waste of one of our holiday days.

Poor service from staff, particularly the man behind the bar. Sarcastic and unhelpful, made you feel lucky to be served the overpriced and badly cooked food. Not the first time staff have given bad service, I really don’t like leaving bad reviews but training needed.

It was very busy as you would expect at this time of year 1/2 hour to queue for food/ drinks, plenty of staff, so why not have the food queue separate? Very disorganised. Food lukewarm warm when it came. Avoid at all costs, shame as it is in a good location.

Had meal there tonight with my husband. I ordered Lasagna and when it came it was burnt so sent it back. They sent another one out which was'nt much better. We we told the pie was in a bowl with puff pastry on top but when it came it was in shortcrust pastry. Very disapointed with food a nd would not recommend anyone going there to eat.

Very disappointing evening meal. Tasteless and overpriced. Was busy. Presume this is due to being nowhere else to eat out nearby. Also no Prosecco glass available ?!?! Apparently held up in Suez Canal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would not recommend.

Popped in at 16.30 to book a table for two at 17.00 midweek.. that was fine but as all the tables in the bar were taken by families and dogs i asked if we could sit in the restaurant and wait as it was raining and a few people were drinking in the restaurant already.. was told no but you could stand in the bar ( two OAP’s) and wait.. i told the man no thanks we will go elsewhere… the man asked if i still wanted the table at 17.00… noooooooo we went to a hotel in overstrand and received excellent service and food.. suggest you only go to the ship if you seat in the garden and take in the sea views .. customer service not required by the man for that
