Convenient location, being right next to train station. But the train station is one giant construction site right now and it did affect the stay experience

Love the building, design and the location (the physical / hard part). The soft part (people), more efforts required. They misplaced 1 of my luggage and I need to beg them to find it (as if I was lying that I have 3 begs). They pushed me around, asked me to go and ask "that guy at the door" and asked me to go to the luggage storage room even after I clearly described my beg (not with a typical colour). And apparently, the beg was at the reception behind the counter. Wasting 1 to 2 hours.

Excellent location just next to Munich Hauptbahnhof. We got free upgrade to a beautiful suite! Very friendly service provided. Delicious breakfast.

Convenient location as is right next to train station. Easy access within Germany or other European countries by rail. We wanted to try the spa but was told is under renovation upon arrival. A bit disappointing. Breakfast was very good and superb services. We ordered egg Benedict from kitchen and it was delicious. The bakery was good too.

I chose this hotel mainly baecause it is very close to the central railway station and the old town where the main tourist attrations are located. There are also many shops and restaurants in the vicinity. The staff at the rececption desk was very helpful and polite. The hotel is a bit old but still very well decorated. The room is of a good size and the bed is comfortable. A very comfortable stay.

Great location, within walking distance from the train station and great food options. Service at the hotel was great too! Only downside was that the pool was closed for renovation, but they provided an alternative at the hotel opposite the road. The hotel staff were professional too, saw a female hotel staff at the front desk managing an unreasonable female customer who was demanding certain things and holding up the line. The female customer even jumped the queue when returning to demand more things.

Location Hotels sits in front of the main train station - but you do not hear the trains at all 2 stops from Marienplatz (the Center of the old town) Direct train to the airport Many supermarkets (I counted 5) and food options in the underground portion. Convenient to pick up necessities on the way back. Check in Very well handled with pleasant staff who chat with you Rooms Rooms were comfortable with a small sitting area with desk Nespresso machine, tea, chocolate and kettle Pretty happy with it Amenities Breakfast included an egg station, fruits, salad, bread station, some hot food Not much variation for the 3 days I had breakfast Gym was small with 3 treadmills and 3 bikes and free weights. However, it was adequate. Conclusion Sofitel does not disappoint with good service, rooms and amenities. Location is excellent.

A bit run down for a 5 star hotel.....

Shoutout to Sandra and team for making this stay the most memorable stay in our two weeks trip to Europe! Sandra is the most amicable and friendly staff I met. We had 1-2 questions but she went all out to help us with it. She even gave us a little surprise as well. The hotel is just a stone throw away from The Central station. On the way back, you can buy food from Pommes Freunde which is not bad. Overall a lovely stay, will definitely recommend to family and friends looking for a stay in Munich.

Location is good, breakfast is fabulous. However, that are three points that somehow affect my satisfaction towards the hotel. 1. The television automatically turns on during the midnight, which prevents me from having a good sleep. It turns on for 2-3 times at around 1am 2am and 4am which i found disturbing and kind of scary 2. The room cleaning guy threw my own face towel away….thought my face towel is white and quite similar to the hotel one…. 3. The hotel has hold up 296 euros from my card, didnt know if this is the deposit or not, but i have prepaid my hotel money and the deposit seems more than the ones i have stayed before Overall the hotel is gorgeous

Great location, just outside the main train station. Super friendly and helpful staff. We will be back.
