Clean and comfortable but very tired and needing lots of TLC. Room was very clean, but so outdated. Only one socket, by the bathroom door, have to get out of bed to switch off the lights. Needs a major refit. Breakfast was basic but ok. Didn't eat here as no evening food available. Wouldn't stay again until it's all been updated.

Popped in for Sunday lunch and was greeted (or not) by a miserable barmaid who gave the impression she really didn't want to be there. We should have taken that a as a sign not to stay. There were two lunch options - beef or turkey roast - so we had one of each. Both meats were stone cold, and the beef was way over-cooked. The yorkshires were completely flat like pancakes. Neither of us could cut the parsnips which were like pieces of wood, and the carrots were soggy. The cauliflower cheese was more a sloppy cauliflower soup, and the gravy was straight out of a packet. Probably the worst Sunday roast either of us have ever had.

Hosted my husbands 30th birthday party here, food was incredible, staff are all very friendly. The rooms are decorated beautifully, very clean and extremely comfortable. Breakfast is also amazing, will defo be back. Sunday roasts are also amazing, all freshly cooked and meats sourced from the local butcher. Would highly recommend to anyone to visit here.

I can’t rave about the Stokesay enough at the moment. This is has been our local pub (at the end of our street) for the past 11 years and visited now and again, but the last couple of months we have been most weeks. It really is the best we have seen it as it is now. It has such a welcoming feel, lovely regulars and the most amazing food. The landlady will go above and beyond, we have just had our family Christmas party and they catered for everything we asked for. The chef is amazing, Sunday roasts (especially the roast potatoes) and chicken burgers are my favourite. Huge portions and very reasonable prices and most importantly for me they use the local butcher for meat. Many thanks to you all we will continue to visit.

Christmas Day lunch was amazing, plenty of food and all cooked to perfection. We were so happy when they opened for Christmas day we have nothing in the area to go to without having to use a car so it was a no brainer to book and wow I am so glad we did and not overpriced like many others. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and even though they have not been running it for very long they are doing an incredible job and we both look forward to several return visits. A great gem of a pub/restaurant right on our doorstep xx

Just had what can only be described as the Perfect Christmas Lunch. Loads of Turkey, roast potatoes, loads of veg, a massive Yorkshire and a superb pig in blanket. The Xmas Pudding did me as I couldn't finish what I was given. I will definitely eat here again.

The bedroom was OK, it was clean and presentable, a little over priced in my opinion at £100 for a double as the bathroom had no source of heating. BUT the locks on the doors are a thief's dream, it is a working Inn and anyone can access the stairs to the bedrooms and of course you have to wait until after midnight for the clientele to leave and it quietens down . The overall feel was tired and in need of some TLC, not very welcoming so did not eat here.
