Dunbar is a lovely retreat in the heart of Murphys! Arrived @3pm expecting a quiet house. The owner was in—showed us around, suggested venues & surprise upgraded us from Blue Oak to Sequoia! Daily breakfasts were amazing & generously portioned. Loved the walkability.

I had a lovely stay. The room was charming and felt quite luxurious- especially liked the gorgeous marble shower. The owner and his staff went out of their way to make sure my stay was perfect. The location is wonderful as well. It’s an easy short walk to the Main Street in Murphys. I look forward to returning

Lovely spot, in the heart of Murpheys. Clean and easy check in. Very friendly staff and the breakfast is cooked on the spot for you. Quaint and cute with lots of charm, for a great price. Literally everything is within walking distance and a fun spot to do some relaxing and/or wine tasting.

This gorgeous property is located within a hop skip and a jump of all the fun stuff to do in downtown Murphys. The accommodations are beautiful. The rooms are well appointed and the lobby and dining area make you feel as though you are staying with family. The staff is absolutely the best and the breakfasts are prepared to perfection. This little sanctuary is an absolute gem. I will go back again and again.

From the moment I arrived I could feel the magic of pure joy and relaxation. The outside yards are beautiful and provide you with your choice of shade or direct sunlight. The inside is very clean, comfortable and cool (it was in the high 80’s). I was pleasantly surprised to see a ceiling fan in the room. I live in the Central Valley and ceiling fans are a must! The room was clean and very comfortable. The bed felt very luxurious! Breakfast was outstanding and served in a common area. Guest choose what they would like for breakfast from a menu which is provide by the cook. I had the best French toast and bacon the first morning which was just enough fuel to get me going out and about for the day!

The pillows were so comfy. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious and so nice not having to go out for breakfast. We def will come back asap and will find out about having a wedding there for our daughter who just got engaged

Great place, clean, friendly, yummy f ood and firm bed with lots of pillows. They even had charger for my car. Stairs to second floor are narrow so suite cases was difficult. The town of Murphys has neat shops lots of wi e tasting and close to Big Tree State Park.

We've stayed in Murphys probably 10 times over the last 20 years. This was our first time at the Dunbar House Inn. This will definitely be our choice from now on. Accommodations were great, as well as the outstanding breakfast that was provided.
