Disappointing week in a disappointing hotel. From the moment we landed in Oman, the intercontinental hotel was not helpful. When we asked for a taxi, they wouldn’t help us and we had to arrange ourselves. When we asked if we had a sea view, we were told “we had a partial sea view” which was actually a car park and a loud generator which rattled on all through the night. The generator was so loud we had to keep the balcony doors closed all the time. However, one night, even with the doors closed we were kept awake until 3am with loud bangs and clatters from hotel staff loading up vans with furniture after an event at the hotel. When we asked about booking the onsite restaurants, we were told they were all closed apart from the main one. Multiple times when we went to the main restaurant we were told it was too busy and we had to wait and come back later. When we did get into the restaurant, we often had to wait long times for food to be replaced or we given paper cups because they’d run out of glasses! When we tried to get the WiFi at the pool, there was none. When we tried to use the creams in the room, they’d run out. The staff were lovely and the food was nice but altogether, we didn’t feel looked after and definitely don’t feel this is a 5* hotel.

Good atmosphere, great service, with amazing views. Keep in mind the noise all the time coming from outside.

Good hotel with good location. The staff is terrible. The person who checked us put us on cash only without asking us if we would like to put deposit so we can charge services to the rooms. We found out when we went down to the pool without the wallet and tried paying. Embarrassing. Asked for room service, came after 40 mins. The server forgot to bring lime with order. Reminded him only to never come back. At breakfast the staff openly eats and drinks at this stations. They also give you printouts of QR code to TripAdvisor saying if happy kinky rate me on the site.

I am not satisfied. Ctrip booking is a scam. The front desk offered to refund the money, but the Ctrip platform refused to refund the money. Ctrip is just a scam.

With parking: There are very few people. I waited for a long time at the door before someone came to park. The service is not good. Front desk: The front desk service feels suitable for a five-star hotel. The service is very good. They knew that we were coming from other countries and helped us delay check-out until 2 o'clock. Breakfast: It's decent, there are some Middle Eastern dishes, nothing special, the breakfast service is good It is not recommended to stay in the hotel in the near future. I don’t know where the hotel is to be renovated. The electric drill has not stopped since 9 o’clock. I came here to relax on vacation, but the sound of the electric drill is very annoying.

The location is remote and the included dinner is mediocre. It may be a conference and exhibition hotel, and the front desk handles the check-in very quickly.
