The location is perfect. It is very close to the city which you can see from the lodge, but also is in the centre of Queen Elizabeth National Park, located right at the Kazinga Channel. This means that at night the lodge can be visited by wild animals, especially hippo's. One night a hippo even bumped to my cabin. The rooms are very big, but the bathrooms feels outdated, there is no separate shower cabin. It is just a showerhead attached to a wall next to the toilet. Most of the staff were friendly and made me feel welcome. One person seemed like she could be a bit more welcoming to me, which I was not used to from Ugandans.

This is a perfect place for relaxing, having excellent food and going for boat safari on the Kazinga Channel just 50 meters down the hill. The rooms are nicely decorated with a terrace overlooking the river and all the nature around. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Super nice Personal, nice rooms, perfectly located close to the park entrance. The rooms are large and warm water was available at any time of the day and night. Also breakfast, lunch and dinner always perfect! Also nice view on the lake. Looking forward to seeing everyone here again the future.

We had a fantastic experience here! The food was delicious, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. Our room was not only very spacious but also spotlessly clean and comfortable – truly a wonderful surprise at a great price. A special highlight was seeing hippos up close – it was fascinating to observe them in their natural habitat. We also went on a river tour, where we were lucky enough to see three large elephant families as well as male elephants bathing. In addition, we spotted crocodiles, more hippos, and an abundance of birdlife. Overall, an unforgettable experience – we highly recommend this place!

The place has good food and the customer care is top notch to be honest there are few places if no place better than them in the customer care department so guys just get your stuff and book a place in Tembo Safari lodge if you don’t want to then you must do

The location gives life and indeed highly advisable in queen Elizabeth as the best lodge so far .More the place has very good food very remarkable the portion is just excellent Yh with my friends had a lot of fun and all thanks to the staff that made it happen

A great location, with good food and helpful staff. Rooms large and spacious albeit a little tired, with verandahs with great views of the Kazinga Channel. Lots of bugs which made it a bit of a challenge for eating as the restaurant is kept very dim to avoid attracting the bugs.

- There were stains on the sheets - Dirt and hair in the floor from previous guests - Poop on the bed and Floor from an animal. - Toilet didn’t flush and made a lot of noise during the night. - There was no (hot) water on the lavabo. - electricitycable just above the shower - shower ON the toilet

Rooms are very spacious with large balconies facing the Kazinga channel. You can see the hippos frolicking in the water right from your balcony, not to mention the the pelicans gliding on the water. The rooms are beautifully decorated with local and rustic elements. The staff was friendly and took good care of us. The breakfast on the balcony of the dining room was unforgettable. The park entrance is just 5 minutes away. The place is near a bridge and a petrol station. So rooms a bit further away should be preferred if you like quiet and peace.
