Was a nice hotel, but is very dated and isn’t clean. Bugs flying around the room, can hear everything outside. For the price, expect a tad better. Overall staff was friendly and would stay again for the convenience.

The location of the hotel is in prime area with access to roads, the room as so tidy and the staffs are polite and professional. The whole heritage hotel is in the heart of the city. The front desk staff named Powsthina was so professional and handled the check in so smoothly. The hotel holds the history of the mysuru kingdom and assuring that the stay is worthy

It’s a lovely place with great service and lovely people. The room is spacious and clean. Food here is amazing as well. Highly recommend to everyone who is first time in Mysore.

Beautiful hotel , from the moment we arrived everything was perfect , helpful friendly staff, our room was upgraded and wow what a room, huge with a massive balcony/veranda . The food was amazing, the spa was lovely I enjoyed a massage which was very reasonable. Highly recommend this gorgeous hotel

The staff was so humble and courteous. We would like to call out Powsthina who was our host and good take care of us. The location is awesome with very close proximity to all places. The Royal orchid stands to its name with excellent ambience and sumptuous food options. The interiors was splendid and added all the grace. Overall a 10 on 10.

Stayed at the The Royal Orchid for 2 nights in Feb. Hotel is in a good location, only 5 mins by tuk tuk from old market, shops and restaurants. Palace is also only 10mins. Staff were friendly and helpful, receptionist Sauleddia was helpful in arranging a day trip to see the sites and transfer to our next stop at Nagerhole. Breakfast selection wasn’t huge, but we found it had what we needed. Food was of a good standard, menu is mainly Indian, all the dishes we tried were delicious. Our room was on the first floor facing the pool and the road, you could hear the car horns all day and night, but that’s to be expected anywhere in India where the hotel is close to the road! Our room and balcony were very spacious and comfortable. It has retained its colonial feel and old world charm/ luxury, polished floor boards etc. We would stay again and recommend.
