After a week in Israel we arrived at Paradise at the Nahsholim Hotel. We booked 2 simple rooms and got 2 big cozy rooms as a surprise. Breakfast was amazing, I must mention the deputy reception manager a girl named Shani who was very pleasant and helped us with every request with a smile and politeness. We will for sure come back to the hotel and recommend all our friends to book a room in your hotel.

The pictures on the website are the epitome of false advertising. While those lovely two story and brand new casita units exist, so do many units that are in need of being torn down. Total disrepair, dirty, utilitarian rooms that are horrible. Be aware that even if you specify which room you want you may end up in the crappiest place you’ve ever stayed.

Let me just rename this to Nah Sholim with a space in between! I would never revisit this place UNLESS I actually got the rooms that they advertise on the website (which are indeed but apparently unattainable) We complained about the condition of the rooms compared to the website but it got us nowhere. Very third world. However, do specify that you want the BRAND NEW ROOMS facing the Mediterranean Sea and you might luck out but I wouldn’t risk it. I think only Israeli nationals get those.

Nahsholim has a peaceful and uncrowded beach of great beauty. I have not found anything to equal it in Israel. It provides a bountiful breakfast, beautiful ground with flowers and trees, hot water 24/7 and a place to wash feet when emerging from the beach. However, the price for a "regular room" is exorbitant *850 shekels per couple per night)when considering that these rooms are minimal. The bathroom is tiny and one needs a squeegee to clean up after each shower as the floor of the shower is the floor of the room itself; there is only liquid soap of the worst quality; there is no wifi connection in the rooms, but rather only in the reception area and even there it is intermittent; t.v. channels are minimal; room maintenance is sketchy and for example there was a hold in our screen and standing water outside of it which attracted insects; the minimarket offers very little variety at high prices; the signs peter out at some point so that it is not always easy to find things. Despite the hardships - I would definitely return because I so value the peace and beauty, but not all travelers may feel this way.

Very nice people at the reception desk. The room was quite large and had a gorgeous view of the fabulous beach . Excellent breakfast. The towels were flimsy and thin. The housekeeping and maintenance were very poor. On day 2 of our stay, our room was not cleaned at all. Finally, at 4:30 pm, after two calls, the housekeeper came. On several occasions, she forgot to give us face towels. Our cousins had the room next door. Their tissue box was empty and was not refilled. The housekeeper seemed very surly and resentful of any request. The maintenance staff should go over things in the room before people check in to ensure that things work! Our bedside lamps were broken (the switches were broken and so the lamp would not stay off!). The handle in the bathtub that diverts the flow of water to fill up the tub was broken . They offered us another room. We were already very settled in (on day 2) and didn't want to delay our evening plans . I've been in hundreds of hotels in my lifetime and the bathroom in this hotel was the darkest I've ever seen! I could barely see to put my contact lenses into their case. There was a vanity mirror, but the switch did not work. The maintenance person told us that they "weren't allowed" to put electricity there. On that note, there was NO electrical outlet in the entire bathroom. A hairdryer was provided but there was no place near the bathroom mirror to plug it in. We suspected that the hotel didn't want to spend the money for the GFI outlets.

We stayed in boutique rooms- highly overpriced for what they offer. Place is very poorly maintained. No internet - lots of aggravation over this. Place not recommended. Staff handled issues poorly. Service poor as well- no beach towels when we were going to the beach. On the photos everything looked so nice when we booked- but when we came in - disappointment was great. We couldn’t wait to get out of there and return home.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Our rooms were rusted out, dirty, and falling apart. Even the grounds were unkempt with hammocks that were falling apart and bushes growing through the benches. My bathroom was recently renovated and was the best room in the unit. Everything else made you want to sleep in your clothes. The pictures on the Nahshalim website are inviting, but they do not match reality. Half the property is in shambles and should not be used. The hospitality at the front desk was less than inviting, and after we were given a dinner time, we had to wait almost 30 minutes before they would seat us. With the great hotel options in Israel, this one is not worth staying at!

Please mind our stay was in the 3star bungalows but even for 3,5 the state of the space was a shock. The grass and entrance floor were littered with empty nutella boxes, cigarette butts, sunflower seed shells the previous people had been eating and spat on the ground, and general rubbish - stepped on a piece of plastic in the grass that cut my sole. Mind, I got 2 small children with one trying to put everything in her mouth - so I cleaned most of it myself before the cleaners arrived. The previous people dirty laundry pile was still next to our door when we arrived. On the inside of this otherwise decent oldschool looking space, the drawers of bedside tables were broken and hanging off cabinets. The shower towel holder broke off hinges when we had just arrived and the overhead shower did not work, only the handheld one (which OK, it's a big thing to fix and I get that it may not be sorted within a day at high season). All in all, there were so many problems we turned to reception for help. Everything was attended to and we were given a platter of complimentary fruit to say sorry. The melon and watermelon on the tray were completely gone off!! But before I had picked one up and smelled it (rancid wine smell) both my kids had already had a piece. So both were exposed to bacteria and ate week old fruit by the smell of it. The above were just some experiences within 24h, but the staff were especially shocking. The rudeness and carelessness of cleaners, reception staff were just beyond me. When eating in one of the food areas my husband requested a booster seat from one of the staff. They replied that no boosters exist here. My husband pointed out that in the next door food area we had used one just in the morning. The staff member retorted, that in that case my husband may go and get the booster from there himself :D I mean, I know israelis are spicy but you simply can't win in this establishment and even if we had stayed in the 4 or 5 star rooms, the service in the food area is just the same. And the cleanliness level in general areas just shocking. Do not come!
