Spark by Hilton Nacogdoches

The room smelled like body odor. The tub was flaking,peeling, inside on the bottom. Looks like the hotel caters to workers and laborers where a hotel should use encased mattresses and pillows and maybe vinyl instead of carpet. The doors also naturally slam shut. No coffee maker in the room.

The rooms are nice and spacious. The beds are comfortable. Pillows are fluffy. Air conditioner works really well. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is the typical eggs, bacon, cereal. The only bread option is bagels which is fine with me. The pool and hot tub looked inviting but we didn’t use this time. They have the largest variety of snack items in the lobby I have seen at an hotel including wine. The walls are thin but I carry a fan so it was no problem for us. We would definitely stay again

A clean and comfortable hotel. There is minimal luxury, breakfast is a bagel bar and instead of water bottles in your room there is a water bottle filler in the lobby. My room and bathroom was spotless. There is always coffee. Perfect for a one night stay.

Adequate. The temperature remained inconsistent. I also didn't like that complimentary water wasn't left in the room, and I had to go to the front desk in order to get it.

Went to Nacogdoches for a weekend with friends as an SFA alum. Been here multiple time but this was my first time back since they remodeled. Room was nice and clean, spacious, and I loved having a ceiling fan! Didn’t love being charged $25 to check in early. Never had that issue when it was a super 8 and have never been charged at any other hotel for an early check in fee. Maybe this is a new thing or a Hilton thing but I spent two years traveling for work and I couldn’t imagine getting off a flight and sitting at the airport or in the hotel lobby just because it isn’t 3pm yet and not wanting to get charged. No fault to the staff, but the walls are paper thin and the entire time I could hear doors slamming, conversations of people on either side of me and people yelling and stomping down the hallway. At times it almost felt like people were in MY room and it was very uncomfortable. Cost was reasonable, limited parking, location is inconvenient but that’s also not their fault, all the hotels are stacked on top of each other on a busy highway currently under construction. Overall it’s a decent property for the cost.

We stayed here last weekend and I just can’t say enough about this hotel. It was super clean and everything looked brand new. The staff is awesome, we came in late and we were super tired but luckily we were able to get a room with 2 queen beds. The front desk attendant, Kimberly was very nice, it was late but she still greeted us with a great big smile and was eager to tell us about everything—-she gave us a complete run down of the breakfast items and where everything was located and told us if we needed anything at all not to hesitate to call. A lot of times the late night attendants at hotels are either no where to be found or they act as though they don’t want to be bothered and just barely look at you. But her smile was so infectious it put us in a better mood. The morning attendant that checked us out was also very nice. The breakfast items were better than expected. The room was super clean with comfy pillows and there were plenty of towels and toiletries….everything you would hope to find in your room. I will definitely be staying here again!
