Room was extremely worth it's pricing with the cleanliness and you could feel the exquisiteness of the hotel from entering through the main doors all the way to your room. Walking distance to multiple interesting areas such as Zenkoji Temple and very pretty eateries around the area. 1 extremely disturbing thing was whereby 1 of the huge mirrors by the make up table was right infront of our beds which made my family and I have a paranoid night stay. Other wise everything was top tier!

The hotel was great. The 5PM check in is a little odd, and the front desk person was a little rude upon arrival. Besides that the room was great and clean.

Size of the hotel room is reasonable and they provide regular shuttle to the train station which is 10 min drive away. Not much amenities near the hotel except for a convenient store & and American dinner.

There is shuttle bus available. good service from the staff. Rooms are very clean and bed are very comfortable.

Hotel is OK, but for us, no AC system makes the room stuffy. Sleeping with open windows is not an option for us. But the hotel is clean, albeit a bit old. Location is OK, not many things around, a small Lawson nearby, Dennys restaurant on the block, we picked the hotel because our tour departs from that hotel.

Renovated room, quite clean and big. Nice handful staff. Good view. Large parking area. Just only smelling of renovated room (we guess).

The hotel located in the area of government buildings. It is therefore very good for business people. They have five restaurants. But because we did not arrange for hotel breakfast, it was a bit difficult to get breakfast around the hotel. But there is a convenient store nearby. The room was clean. Reception gave us a high floor room with beautiful city view. Appreciate that. The hotel has three big car parks. Hotel guest needed to pay parking fee of 1000 yen for throughout the stay, which I think is reasonable. The hotel is actually well located - close enough to the sightseeing spots in the city centre.

Went in April 2023. The hotel is walkable to the only natural hot spring facility in town. 100 for Service. Special shoutout to the service staff! Location wise, it is centrally located within Nagano, however transportation wise would be more convenient to stay at Nagano station. The hotel is quaint and quiet with decent restaurants available within the building. Appreciate the flexibility to extend my stay for one night at Hotel Kokusai 21. Local drivers know the location of the building which is convenient for people who does not speak Japanese. Booked a room for 3, appreciated that the sofa bed was set up prior to arrival (some hotels only does this after you have reached, which increases waiting time.) Working fridge. Requested for a change in kettle and they provided one swiftly despite the language barrier. The hotel lobby is also a joy to walk into daily as they provide an exhibition of a samurai celebrating boy's day in Japan (5th May) with koi flags hanging at the back. A souvenir shop is also located within the lobby for last minute shoppers. Fun fact, this souvenir shop is not more expensive than at the train station.

Overall it is a commercial hotel with decent facilities, clean and well-equipped. The front desk service is good. If you are just waiting for the bus the next day, you can have a good sleep.

The room is large and the bed and pillows are quite comfortable. The heating works very well. At the entrance of the hotel they have a small space with typical products and some souvenirs at reasonable prices. The bathroom is quite old but, even so, it is worth it because the size of the room is quite large for Japan.

It is located halfway between Nagano Station and Zenkoji Temple, a short walk from the station. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is especially great. There is no large public bath.

It is a traditional hotel with an old-fashioned decoration style, but the facilities are well maintained and not old at all. The hygiene is very good, and the rooms of the old hotel are large and very comfortable to live in. The hotel is located between the train station and Zenkoji Temple, about 15 minutes walk from both places. Nagano is a clean and tidy small city, and it is very comfortable to walk. If you don't want to walk or have luggage, the hotel also provides free shuttles between the JR station and the hotel for guests to take; there are also some special shuttles every day that can go to Zenkoji Temple and a paid hot spring near the hotel; the shuttle schedule can be checked in advance on the hotel website, and it will also be provided by the front desk when you check in. There are many foreign tourists staying in the hotel, and the front desk and concierge staff can basically speak English translation, so there is no need to worry about communication problems even if you don't understand Japanese.
