"Nagano family-style homestay, interior elegant and tasteful, the two owners are very kind and attentive, welcome afternoon tea, and the morning homemade soup; like them, like greeting friends, chatting in Japanese and English is not formal, full of temperature.
The price is not low, the software and hardware are satisfactory 😌 especially push the nearby Hama Sushi ~"
Excellent accessibility and reasonable pricing. We also have guestrooms specifically for long-term stays.
"Located less than 10 minutes from Nagano Station, there are seven eleven family Marosson if you walk a little, and the location is very good. The building itself is a type of history. The room I stayed in was a room with a bed occupying most of the beds with about 4 tatami mats. It may be so if you say it is small, but it did not become a particularly negative element considering access and price.
Good point.
The response of the customer service, including the uncle of the receptionist, was good.
The room itself felt the age
It was clean and nice because it was well maintained.
The Oyaki shop in front of you is very delicious! Recommended are two types of soba and shiitake.
I'm a little worried.
Amenities such as shampoo toothpaste are all available, but I used a small towel because there was no sponge to wash my body.
Then, I feel like I wanted the second small towel because there is only one bath towel.
and personally, from the light of the electric lamp
When I went to bed, I wanted to take the light outside in the morning.
When I opened the window, I could see it from the front building, so I was a little sorry there.

not a hundred points.
Also, it was a place to stay that I thought I would take care of when I was at Nagano station.
I couldn't go because of time.
I want to try the cafe on the first floor next time.

A thatched roof shukubo (a guest house run by monks) registered as a tangible cultural property and offering handmade buckwheat noodles, a specialty of Togakushi
"Our stay at Shukubo Gokui was incredible. So much history and spirit, and although we spoke very little Japanese we were greeted warmly by the family. Every breakfast and dinner served was so thoughtfully presented and delicious. The onsite bath is very clean and almost like a private onsen. The room was warm and comfortable, and it was magical to be in the space with the winter snow piling outside. The location cannot be any better, very near the beautiful Chusha Shrine, on the path to the other shrines in Togakushi, within walking distance to the town Onsen and ski resort, and probably one of the closest lodgings to the bus stop. The original structure is from 1815 with thoughtful updates to make the space comfortable and warm. That foreigners and visitors are allowed to stay at Shokubo Gokui that has been so thoughtfully cared for by the family for years is incredibly special, an experience we will remember for a long time. I hope we can return again."
AAlexIn order to go to the Huyin Shrine to choose this one night, the hotel is near the China Society. Although the hotel facilities are general but very clean, the dinner is a noodles banquet. The taste is very good and completely exceeds the expectations of a small hotel. The breakfast is simple (see Figures 2, 3, 4,), but the taste is also very good. Recommended
KKs TamThe location is great and it is well maintained. I stayed in the 4 beds female dorm, it was spacious. The bed was big with a little desk at one side of the bed for organising personal items. Each bed has their own charging pod. There are some limitations though: the lift can't be used so suitcases are moved up via staircase. I have to go down to the 2nd floor for the bathroom and toilet. I am not sure how many people are sharing them but I never need to wait an they are clean.
GGanmeirenIt snowed heavily that day, and I was very grateful that I could find a place to stay in just a few minutes with my luggage. If I wanted to go to Togakushi, the station was just across the bridge, and the location was very convenient. The surrounding area was also very convenient, with many things to eat and buy.
However, the overall accommodation environment was relatively poor. This was the first time I stayed in such a poor hotel in Japan.
Facilities: The location was very good, and the station was only a two-minute walk away. The bathroom was inconvenient, and the faucet for the shower was turned on and off together with the washbasin, and the facilities were very old.
Hygiene: The room was dark and looked not very clean, and I couldn't sleep well
Environment: Free breakfast was provided
Service: So-so
AAnton VoroshilinThis is an extremely cosy place, but I would not dare describe it as luxurious. It is dated and simple, with the most basic amenities.
However, I liked it a lot. The best part about this ryokan is its owner, an elderly man. He truly puts his heart and soul into his establishment. He even suggested to give us a ride to the station, however the weather was nice and we decided to walk instead.
I'd like to highlight the breakfast: it was gorgeous, given the price. I'd even say it tasted better than a ¥3000 dinner I had at some local restaurant.
The whole experience felt like visiting your grandparents, who live in a village, during the summer.
GGuest User1) Location: Get off at Zhongshe and walk about 3-400 meters. You can reach it in a straight line.
2) Hotel: Decorated in the 1980s-1990s, there is no heating in the corridor, but there is heating in the room, and the temperature is suitable. There is no bathing in the hotel. The hot spring is in a large covered tub. There is no heating in the shower room and toilet.
3) Meals: You can order them at the hotel. The boss’s skills are pretty good and delicious, but not very cheap.
[Five-star recommendation] Try to avoid bringing a trolley suitcase in winter. The road is too difficult to walk. It is uphill to get to the hotel. I arrived at night and fell a few times. It was too painful.
Aastro.sergiuThis is a truly authentic experience! Cosy, with traditional furniture and bed, whilst still offering very comfortable options it's the best of both worlds. Plus, the view is among the best in town and the breakfast is authentic and charming. It was a beautiful experience to say here and the fact the hosts did not speak English actually added to the experience. I'd be sure to visit again next time I'm in Nagano.
