Very nice hotel in a great location. There are many restaurants and bars nearby, and the hotel has parking. The staff is very friendly.

Nice place. There was some noise from construction that was occurring across the street but I didn't consider it disruptive. It's located in an area that full of girls bar type places though, so at night walking around was a bit uncomfortable for me. I also saw delivery health workers being brought into the hotel which wasn't the nicest haha. The location was nice for being in the center of Nagasaki's different attractions, so it was convient for me to drop in on my way to different destinations. It's also close to many "normal" bars that had good mixes of foreigners and Japanese.

The guest rooms are equipped with practical amenities, including air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a flat-screen TV. A thoughtful touch is the option to request daily housekeeping service directly via the TV. The beds are comfortable, and some room types offer ample space, ensuring families don't feel cramped. The 24-hour front desk staff are communicative and provide warm service, promptly addressing guest inquiries such as parking directions and transportation advice for sightseeing. In terms of hotel facilities, a laundry room, free WiFi, and self-check-in options are available, catering well to both business travelers and independent tourists. While some guests have noted the breakfast price of 2000 JPY to be a bit high, the extensive selection, including Nagasaki specialties, means its value for money can be subjective. It's worth noting that parking is available in a mechanical car park for a fee. While there are numerous restaurants on the ground floor beneath the hotel, especially at night, the soundproofing is decent and generally doesn't disturb sleep. Guests should be aware of the hotel's neighborhood and ensure it meets their preferences. Other than that, everything was quite good.

Right in the heart of Shianbashi Street, transportation is convenient, and there are many girls' bars nearby.

We were pitting this hotel against other chains like Dormy Inn and Candeo Hotels. Richmond’s value proposition is that you pay less but have less amenities. The rooms are bigger that what we were comparing with but you do not get a public bath and you do not get free drinks and noodles. For the price I think that Richmond is good in that aspect. The hotel lobby is nice and pays homage to the Dutch visiting Japan eons ago as Nagasaki was the first place they came into contact with then. It’s a typical chain hotel, but its located along the bar and nightlife street, though the events happening around that street didn’t bother us, I believe that the price is lowered due to the location of the place.
