Kuretake Inn Premium Nagoya Nayabashi

Location wise consider a bit far out from the Nagoya station, have to walk about 20 minutes. Quite nice and clean, amenities also quite good, can take as much as we want at the lobby area, breakfast also provided, no water provided in the room or common area, but says that tap water is consumable. but funny thing is, cannot have guest to come to the room, even only for a minute to pick up a gift I have prepare for my friend. said that they will charge my guest friend JPY3000,-. While I see many ppl come in and out from the hotel elevator. overall just an ok stay, dont expect too much.

A bit far from the Nagoya station, but not bad if you know how to walk the underground mall. The exit is only a few minute more from thr hotel. Lots of places to eat and shop next to hotel. Happy hour from 6 to 8 for a free drink. Breakfast was better then average.

Basic hotel. Room is a little small but it works for a short stay. Decent breakfast buffet. Overall a decent stay.

pros: room was clean and more spacious than expected! love that lounge pajamas and slippers were provided, along with many other amenities that can be easily collected at the lobby. friends and i thoroughly enjoyed relaxing with the daily free drink during happy hour and the public onsen. location is also good, it is near the river and many food options with bus stops and the subway in walkable distance. overall, good value for money. cons: no safe. buffet breakfast provided is good and convenient, but the selection is quite limited and may get repetitive as it doesn't change. the preparation room before the onsen is small and can get quite cramped with more than 3 people. however, the biggest reason for the poor service rating is that one of my friend's personal items got stolen during cleaning, and we were not given any explanation or follow up by the hotel after reporting it. though the stolen item was luckily not very expensive, it held great sentimental value and regardless, this is not the service or accountability you would expect from an established hotel chain in japan. i would still advise future guests to keep their belongings in their luggage and lock it when they step out for the day.
