The location is excellent, and the family room for four was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The staff were all friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. We especially appreciated the luggage courier service—highly recommended! Ms. Saito was exceptionally patient and assisted us with care, helping to arrange the transportation of eight pieces of luggage to Tokyo seamlessly.

I booked this place because I knew I’d need to take the Meitetsu train to Chubu Airport. It was a bit of a long walk from the JR station to the hotel, but when leaving for the Meitetsu station, it was slightly closer—so that was convenient.
There wasn’t much of a view from the window, but it wasn’t a big deal. I was just glad to have a window at all.
Overall, it was a decent stay. I slept well after a long and exhausting drive.

Review of Meitetsu Grand Hotel
We stayed at Meitetsu Grand Hotel for four nights.
Unfortunately, I made a mistake during the booking and accidentally selected a smoking room instead of a non-smoking one.
As expected, the reception informed us that there were no other rooms available. I asked, "How much to upgrade?"
and we ended up paying an additional ¥28,000 for a non-smoking room upgrade.
The upgraded room was spacious but quite outdated—it felt like stepping into an antique setting.
One incident during our stay was particularly disappointing. I wore the hotel’s robe over my pajamas as an extra layer and left my thermal wear underneath.
The next morning, housekeeping mistakenly took the robe along with my thermal wear. I contacted reception, hoping they could recover it.
They checked with the laundry service, but I braced myself for bad news.
On my birthday, April 9th, I was told they couldn't find it. The receptionist was empathetic and asked if there was anything the hotel could do to make up for it.
He kindly offered us complimentary breakfast on our check-out day, April 10th, which helped brighten my birthday a bit.
While I appreciated the staff's gesture, I don’t think I’ll return to this hotel due to how outdated the facilities are.
That said, Nagoya is a beautiful city, and I definitely plan to come back again—especially in autumn!

Located in a building complex, it was easy to reach from the main train/bus stations.
Room was comfortable and very clean, as most business hotels are.
Location is good, with easy access to other areas by bus or subway.

Excellent location. The Meitetsu Bus Center and the railway station are just downstairs. It is only 5-10 minutes to Kintetsu, JR, subway, department stores, convenience stores, underground streets, etc.. Although the hotel is a bit old, it still gives people a clean and hygienic feeling. The front desk staff has good English communication skills and the staff we met are very polite. The overall cost-effectiveness is high. It is worth recommending!

The location of the hotel was very good and convenient. It was situated near public transportation and was easy to go everywhere. The breakfast was general and less food to eat.
