Our stay at Taj Corbett was nothing short of a 6-star experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with traditional live music at the entrance, followed by a warm welcome from the courteous staff who escorted us inside. The staff took the time to brief us about the property, activities, and nearby attractions, which helped us plan the rest of our day efficiently. Although the check-in time is officially 2 PM, we arrived around 11 AM, so naturally, we had to wait a little until 1.20pm. After a refreshing welcome drink at the reception, we set out to explore the expansive 11-acre property. The resort offers nearly 70 rooms across different categories, a dedicated table tennis area, multiple restaurants, and a sprawling lawn that stretches ***** the banks of the River Kosi. The breathtaking views of the river and mountains added to the charm. We spent about 90 minutes touring the property, soaking in its beauty. We did encounter a slight hiccup with the room category we had initially booked and a delay in receiving our luggage. However, the Operations Manager, Mr. Amitava Chakraborty, swiftly resolved the issue, ensuring we felt completely at ease. His prompt intervention made all the difference, and we quickly forgot about the minor inconvenience. True to his word, the next day we were upgraded to a suite (Room 406) with stunning views of the river and mountains, complete with a private balcony. Room Experience: There was no comparison between Room #215 (initially allotted) and the upgraded Suite #406. While Room 215 was spacious with a garden-facing shared balcony, we did notice some maintenance issues with the sit-out area. Room #406, however, was incomparable. It was a large suite featuring a separate meeting area, a private balcony, two washrooms, and large windows that framed stunning views of the mountains and the River Kosi. Dining at Treetop Restaurant: The dining experience, especially the complimentary breakfast and evening high tea, was nothing short of mind-blowing. The staff were extremely attentive and quick to respond to guests. The live counters showcasing traditional cuisine, ***** with live music, created a perfect leisurely atmosphere. Before each meal, we consulted with the chef about the dishes we were considering. The chefs took the time to explain the ingredients, preparation methods, flavors, and portion sizes. After serving, they even returned to check on our feedback, which we greatly appreciated. On our final night, we were treated to a delightful five-course dinner, despite only ordering a few selected dishes from the à la carte menu. The warmth and hospitality of the staff were truly unmatched. Evening Rituals: We had the joy of participating in the traditional evening aarti of the River Kosi, complete with the lighting of lamps. It was a serene and unique experience that left a lasting impression. Bird Watching: Just outside the Treetop Restaurant, we spotted two Indian hornbills and several other be
