Decasa Hotel

The hotel is located in downtown Nairobi, surrounded by wholesale shoe and clothing vendors, making it feel like stepping back into 1980s China. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is a limited buffet, and the front desk staff is very welcoming. On my first stay, I forgot my power adapter, but two days later, the front desk had already put it away for me. Great! Downsides: The lobby is on the second floor, with a small door on the first floor that's hard to find without careful observation. The restaurant is on the third floor. There's no elevator, so staying on the fifth floor means you'll have to drag your luggage up to the eighth floor. The room amenities are dated, and rooms with windows facing the street are incredibly noisy. The honking of cars and motorcycles early in the morning makes it impossible to sleep in. It's fine for a single or double stay, but if you're a couple or traveling with a family, consider choosing a different hotel.

This was my second time staying here. The staff are cheerful and kind. It is a little inconvenient that there is no hair dryer or kettle. The restaurant in the hotel is delicious. It doesn't have the smell that I've had in restaurants in town, so I think it suits Japanese people. I had bean stew and coleslaw.

The location was good and there was a restaurant attached, so it was convenient. The friendly staff were also very helpful.
