Andaz Nanjing Hexi

Coming to Nanjing for a holiday, I ultimately chose the Andaz Hexi, and my entire stay was incredibly pleasant and comforting. The hotel is rooted in the heart of the Hexi CBD, directly connected to IFC Mall, and with a subway hub right downstairs, making it exceptionally convenient for shopping, dining, and visiting old city attractions. Getting around was completely hassle-free. The spatial design was the most impressive aspect, blending ancient Jinling charm into a modern, trendy style. The sixth-floor lobby is spacious and elegant, and the sky garden is relaxing and comfortable. The guest rooms are high-ceilinged and expansive, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the Hexi city skyline. All the in-room amenities are brand new and meticulously chosen – Sealy mattresses, Dyson hair dryers, and custom-scented toiletries all exude a delicate quality, ensuring a peaceful and restorative night's rest. What truly deserves high praise on this trip is the entire concierge team. From the moment we arrived by car, staff members swiftly came forward to greet us, proactively opening car doors, meticulously handling and settling all our luggage, and gently guiding us to the front desk for check-in. During our numerous comings and goings, every time we entered, we were met with warm greetings. Whenever we sought recommendations for niche local Nanjing eateries, planned our sightseeing routes, or booked transportation, they would patiently and thoroughly answer our questions, offering a wealth of practical advice. On the day of check-out, they helped organize our luggage and arranged for our vehicle, striking the perfect balance – enthusiastic but not intrusive – meticulously attending to all the big and small demands of our trip. We truly felt the warmth of being welcomed home. The front desk and housekeeping staff were equally excellent. The semi-buffet breakfast was rich and delicious, even featuring authentic Nanjing local snacks. Whether for a leisure trip or a short-term stay, this place is exceptionally suitable. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Nanjing.

The cleanliness of the gym's restroom was really poor. The toilet had some truly disgusting stains, which is hard to imagine for a five-star hotel. The guest room wasn't very spacious, and the layout felt a bit off. I booked a non-smoking room, but there was a distinct smell of smoke in the bathroom. On the positive side, the front desk service was quite good, and the complimentary soft drinks and snacks at 5 PM were a nice touch, offering lattes, tapas, and fruit.

Five-star review! Great location and excellent service. The breakfast was also very good. If it weren't for the typhoon today and no available tickets for tomorrow, I would definitely stay another night. I will certainly choose this place again for my next trip. They were really understanding about the typhoon and kindly canceled today's stay. Plus, the butler upgraded me to a river view room, which was a huge bonus!

Traveling with a baby, I contacted the concierge in advance to request bed rails and a step stool. The two beds pushed together formed a super super super large bed, 2.4 meters wide, perfect for freely tossing and turning. Andaz uses Stokke high chairs for babies – very generous! My baby was happy the entire time, enjoying breakfast with a view without any fuss. P.S. The concierge service was goooooood, so thoughtful!

The hotel is located right above the IFC mall, making shopping and getting around incredibly convenient. They even upgraded my room for free when they saw I was traveling with a child. The mini-bar had a good variety of items, and everything was complimentary, which was a nice touch.

Steer clear of Nanjing Ascott! Problems: 1. Despite communicating in advance, I couldn't check in on time. After years of staying in hotels, this is the first time I've encountered a situation where I couldn't check in even by 3:30 PM! I called the front desk a day before to confirm my check-in time. They said check-in was at 3 PM, but agreed to try to get me in earlier. However, by 3:30 PM, the room still wasn't ready, and they said it hadn't been cleaned yet, so I had to wait. 2. There's no signage whatsoever for the front desk on the 6th floor. Just a few staff members operating some old laptops. It took me ages to figure out it was the front desk. 3. The check-in process was incredibly slow, and the staff's attitude was poor. It took countless minutes just to check in. The only positive thing was the nice design of the room key – *sarcastic laugh*. This is the arrogance and confidence from the Hyatt group!

The staff upgraded my room in advance, and knowing there was a child with us, they thoughtfully prepared stickers and children's toiletries. I'll definitely stay here again! A special shout-out to the concierge team, their service was outstanding!

Returned to Nanjing a year later and stayed at the Andaz Hotel again. Once more, I experienced the meticulous service from the Concierge team. From the initial contact right after booking to arranging the room according to my needs, every single detail perfectly embodied their 'customer first' philosophy. See you next year!

The Andaz is definitely a top-tier hotel in Nanjing. Even before I checked in, the concierge called to ask about my preferences, and everything was arranged perfectly. When I arrived, they had a welcome card and other amenities ready for me. I really love the hotel's overall stylish and modern vibe. Check-in was super quick, and the breakfast was excellent too!
