Nanjing Railway Station Youth Hostel Reviews

Location is less than 10 mins walk from Nanjing Station & subway, not far from Xuanwu Lake. Next to this station on the south side, there are buses going directly to Nanjing Lukou Airport. Few restaurants in vicinity but subway takes you directly to downtown a few stops away. Clean. Ok comfortable. Operated by a couple.

The owner is nice, location is okay, some modern facilities and it would be greater if the beds have drape, it would be more private.

I spent two nights here, sanitation was excellent, a long and wide bunker with clean bedding made my sleep quite comfortable, the landlord is quite kind and cooperative, bathroom is clean and new and provides free shower gel, shampoo. Toilet and basins are clean , it's quite affordable and just a 5-minute walking distance from Nanjing Railway station/metro 🚇. I highly recommend this place to youngsters for night stay,

The room was just like the pictures. I would recommend this place if you stay only one night since it's not too close to the center.

The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Nanjin Railway station. The family is really nice and welcoming. I arrived when they were renovating the bedrooms so now they look better than in the pictures. The room is a little cold but the AC is available and the owner gave me extra blankets. The bathroom has a squatting toilet and the shower had no door so the bathroom was always wet.

Excellent services. I arrived at the hostel after midnight but the caretaker was kind enough to show my way in to my dorm. It had bunker beds with 5 other girls. Nice and cheaper option for an overnight stay nearby the railway station. People with early morning trains can opt for this place. The bathroom was clean too 😃 Overall a good experience. Will definitely recommend this place.

Very nice host! The place is also very clean and cozy. Only negative would be that you need a Chinese phone number for an app to open the dorm door, which some foreigners might not have.

Very well located by Nanjing railway station, only a few minutes walk (exit 4). Nice place, nice people !

Very small structure with 2 room with 3 bunks bed in the same house of the owner: one for male and one for famele. Only two toilet with showers for both, guests and owner. Perfect to stay a couple of nights and you want to be close to the station to get a train early in the morning.

Good location not far from the Nanjing railway station, but the owner did not bother to send any directions. Could not find the place from the street and had to ask a Chinese person to call the hostel to find the way. The staff are kind and ready to help, but speak zero English. The hostel does not provide any storage surfaces except the locker, a small shelf for your phone and tooth brush would be useful.

I don't speak Chinese, and the owner doesn't speak English, but as soon as I met him, I could tell from the atmosphere that he was a kind owner, as other reviews have said. Perhaps because visas have not yet been fully waived, there are very few foreign tourists in Nanjing, so sightseeing was quite difficult, but the owner welcomed me with a very welcoming atmosphere, which was a relief. I think it's a homely inn. But it's not overly intrusive. The inn is about 15 minutes straight to the left after leaving Nanjing Station. The entrance is a little hard to find, but there are restaurants and supermarkets nearby, so it's very convenient. You can do your laundry for free, and you can drink hot water for free. For some reason, in China, it seems that hot water is used instead of cold water. There is one room for women, one for men, and one for the shared space. There is one shower room in the women's room and one in the shared space. To be honest, the shower room in the shared space is not exactly clean, but it is currently under renovation, so it may become cleaner in the future. However, it was spacious, and I used the shower room in the shared space for two days. On the last day, I used the shower room in the women's room. It was new and clean, but I was surprised at how small it was. However, I saw similar shower rooms at other accommodations, so it may be common in China. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity. Above all, the owner is a nice person.
