We camped in our van in the garden of the hostel. The camping area in the garden is very pretty, green and peaceful. However the hostel itself was unimpressive. There are hot showers, toilets, a shared kitchen and laundry room - but these are insufficient for the number of people at the hostel. The kitchen gets very crowded, with only 3 cooking hobs and one kitchen tap for everyone. There are only 3 showers and 3 toilets available for campers to use and these get very busy. The outside courtyard is very scruffy and feels neglected. The free WiFi is very slow. We found the hostel very overpriced for what you get.

Amazing stay! I went to Fontainebleau for climbing with a few friends and the hostel was a great experience. It is not luxurious, but it was a great place for the price we paid. There was a common room where you could play some card games or chat with other people, which was really fun. Enough to do when you are not climbing! The room itself wasn't spectacular, but about what we expected (still very clean). The host (Patrick) was also very nice and friendly in explaining how the hostel worked, where the climbing areas were and how to get there. Would definitely visit again!

We had an absolutely amazing time at Fontaineblhostel. The people are great and as a base for bouldering this hostel is perfect. What completes the stay though, is Patrick. He goes above and beyond to help, and even picked us up from Font when our delayed train made us miss the last bus. We are firmly convinced this is the only place to stay on a trip to Font.
