Hôtel Mercure Nantes Centre Passage Pommeraye

On a business trip to Nantes, I only stayed one night as it's not a huge city, so I picked a hotel right in the city center. The location is fantastic, with plenty of restaurants nearby and great for shopping. The hotel building is quite historic, and while there's an elevator, it's very small, so it's easier to use the stairs if you don't have luggage. Each room is unique and compact, which is pretty standard. For breakfast, they offer a light option and a full buffet; the selection isn't vast, but the ingredients are very fresh. I'd recommend it.

The hotel is super central. The breakfast was poor. There were a lot of us at the hotel and they didn't anticipate well. By 8 am, there were no croissants left 😞. The person who served us had a badge saying they spoke Spanish, but they didn't even have an A1 level; they understood nothing and couldn't speak at all. We had to communicate in English. They also couldn't give me any tourist information, they couldn't even find the hotel on the map they were going to give me. Oh well...
