We enjoyed the charm of the inn. Each room had a uniqueness. The staff was very accommodating during all of our interactions. We took stars away because the self service coffee station was not maintained very well. There were shortages of items and at time it wasn’t always clean. Breakfast was not put until 8am which is late if you want to get an early start. Brewed coffee wasn’t available until 8 am either. Earlier than that time, there were only k-cups. The deck is only staffed until 8 pm which means that a night time cup of tea could not be had if all the tea bags were gone. We were on the third floor and the elevator was broken the whole time we were on property. The deck area is a great sanctuary to relax in, however the deck and cushions had leaves and droppings from the trees that had to be swept away prior to sitting down. We didn’t see any attempt by management to maintain this area on a scheduled basis. It might have been short staffing early in the season, but the price point demands more. The room was clean and there were plenty of linens. We enjoyed our stay but expected that there would be more attention to details.
