"This little guesthouse is simple but so well priced and met all our needs - mostly its close proximity (15 minutes walk) to both Honnura port area and the start of the Benesse house art zone, the main locations for the absolutely amazing art installations on Naoshima. Room was well sized, clean, secure and warm. The host was very friendly - he even gave us a lift into the Benesse area to give us a great head start on our day, and securely stored our luggage for the day. I would definitely stay here again. For those coming to Naoshima I would recommend staying 2 nights so you are not rushing your time on this beautiful serene island and make sure you book various galleries well in advance, they sell out even in off season!!"
"The room is not small, very comfortable, it is an apartment nature, you can cook, the room is not too convenient to be equipped with a microwave oven. The only problem is that this small room is a temporary room, the sound insulation is not particularly good, it is easy to wake up in the morning than birds or cicadas.
In the morning there is free bread, butter, jam. There is a convenient soup, you can drink it.
You can rent an electric bicycle, and it is especially convenient to ride around the island. There is a section of the road that does not allow bicycles to pass during the day. It seems that after 5 o'clock, the museum is closed and no one cares.
Still quite recommended."
"Near to Miyanoura Port, coming from Uno Port.
It is a mere 4 min walk from the port.
There is no reception to inform you of the room. So we opened the doors to each building. My name was on a piece of paper near the door/ shoe shelf. If there is someone staying in a building, he/she/ they would have locked the door so no worries.
Big clean and nice :)"
"It is right after the bus stop, in the middle of the village and the art gallery area.
It is very convenient. You can walk to the harbor in a few steps. The village is very quiet. You can walk around after dinner. It is not far from Pumpkin.
If you arrive early, you can store your luggage. You can also store your luggage after you check out.
The room is well divided, with sliding doors separating the bedroom, dining room and bathroom. Dry and wet separation, and a kitchen for cooking
There is a washing machine but no dryer, but you can hang clothes in the bicycle shed
Eat all three meals at the Italian restaurant across the street
Avoid the teppanyaki restaurant opposite the B&B. I had a stomachache after eating it.
The B&B has bicycles that can be borrowed for free, but they are not electric. You have to push them uphill. You can lose two pounds a day. It is recommended to go to the port to borrow an electric one to save effort.
The soundproofing is not good, but the foreigners are very well-educated and go to bed early or make little noise."
"Every hotel in Japan is very clean. This room is quite spacious, the toilet is separated into wet and dry areas, and the balcony has a great sea view. However, it is a bit difficult to go up and down the stairs, which is troublesome for people with bad knees."
"The owner is super friendly and offered me a ride for early ferry going back to Takamatsu port. Interior are practical and clean, I love it. Just pay attention that the soft mattress and very old free bicycles. However you can find taxi, tour bus and rental place near the port. I will come back with friends as the place is good for friends gathering."
"I got a whole house. Didn't expect it to be that big: kitchen, living, bedroom, shower, toilet, washing machine, all that in a quiet surrounding, with all the privacy you want."
With a stay at Naoshima Cottage in Naoshima, you'll be steps from Setonaikai National Park and a 5-minute drive from Benesse House Museum. This cabin is 1.9 mi (3.1 km) from Naoshima Ferry Terminal and 4.1 mi (6.6 km) from Uno Port.

"At the seaside yellow pumpkins, there are baths, yurts, and the RVs are quite special. It feels like camping, and the seascape is beautiful. It is rarely eaten nearby. Bathing coin, 10 days hot water 100 yen. I like to go to the sea quietly."
"KEIRIN HOTEL 10 by Onkochishin @ Tamano Keirin Velodrome
I stayed for three nights, specifically to coincide with the Summer Night Festival GII night races.
This 8-story hotel is uniquely situated right at the first corner of the Tamano Keirin Velodrome. Its exterior is brightly colored, reminiscent of Keirin uniforms.
During race events, floors 3 to 6 serve as dormitories for the athletes, while floors 7 and 8 are dedicated to guest rooms.
Without a doubt, the ability to watch Keirin races directly from your guest room's terrace is an unparalleled experience! And when it's a GII race featuring star athletes, the excitement level is truly off the charts!
Looking straight down from the terrace, you get a unique, bird's-eye perspective of the athletes as they navigate the first corner.
Furthermore, staying in the very same building as the athlete dorms makes this a one-of-a-kind hotel – a true dream come true for any Keirin enthusiast.
Even the room amenities, such as slippers and hangers, are thoughtfully designed with Keirin and bicycle motifs, adding to the overall thrill.
Access to the velodrome is incredibly convenient: simply take the hotel elevator down to the 2nd floor, follow the passage, and it leads directly to the velodrome's FORQ restaurant. Passing through the restaurant takes you straight into the velodrome itself.
This is an absolute must-stay hotel for any Keirin fan!"
