Daiwa Roynet Hotel Nara Natural Hot Spring

The hotel's location is decent, not far from Nara Park and other attractions. There were so many tourists from all over the world feeding the deer, probably hundreds of them. There's also a 'national treasure palace' that's under 'renovation' for 16 years. The hotel breakfast was alright. The public bath didn't have a cold plunge pool or a sauna, and it cost 150 yen. We weren't given the special key card for the public bath during check-in, so we only found out we couldn't get in when we arrived there. I personally feel like it's a bit discriminatory...

There was a woman with glasses who seemed a bit sarcastic and unfriendly towards Chinese guests. When she asked for my name, she stared at me expressionlessly while typing it in. I've never encountered such service attitude in hotels in Kyoto, Wakayama, Osaka, or Kobe. She also assigned me a room near the vertical elevator, which had the worst view and natural light, even though there were so many other rooms available. The breakfast was quite good, and the hygiene and facilities were fine. Chinese travelers should be cautious when choosing this place.

Stepping into the hotel lobby, you're immediately greeted by the distinct aroma of the hot spring baths. We booked a standard room, which was a bit small. If you're traveling with children, I'd recommend a suite for more space. The hotel is super close to Nara Station, just a quick left turn when you exit. The hot spring baths cost extra, but it's not expensive and they're open until midnight. A really thoughtful touch is that the TV in the room shows how busy the baths are. Overall, I'm very satisfied. Japanese hotels are always incredibly clean; you really can't find anything to complain about. I forgot to take pictures of the room, but I did snap a few of the TV, haha. P2 is a specialty product I bought from a persimmon shop in Nara.
