Nara Visitor Center and Inn Reviews

Considering what we paid for 3 people to stay a night before moving on from Nara, this accommodation was great. Had a public bath and even a communal kitchen. Very user friendly. Too bad the convenience store connected to it was closed during our stay, overall a great stay for the price.

It was pretty good overall, but some rooms had an old, musty smell, probably due to their age. The deluxe Japanese-style room was especially great. However, not being able to control the ventilation was a bit annoying. For the price, the room size was quite generous. Next time, I'd like to stay two consecutive days; checking out after just one night this time was really inconvenient.

hotel was conveniently situated near the entrance of nara park and the shrine. deers right outside hotel. hotel staff were very friendly and explained details well. only down side of the room was that the air conditioning/heater was centrally controlled. we had to open the windows at night or else it will be too stuffy. however there were a few trucks who will come by at night around 4-5am to deliver goods and it will create noise. overall rooms were great. however will likely choose another place to stay in nara :)

The location is excellent, very close to the attractions, and the room is clean and tidy. There's a big lake nearby where you can relax and unwind in the evening.

Fantastic room, stone throw away from the park and the shopping/food streets, friendly staff, deer visible from your window and you can cook in the shared kitchen when needed. 11/10

This was the best hotel on our trip to Japan! The Japanese style bedroom was spacious, clean and very cozy. The staff spoke English (and some Russian) very well. We also took part in free activities (cosplay, calligraphy, origami), which was fun. And there were some deer just outside the hotel.

I enjoyed my stay here very much. Wanted to go back again but unfortunately there’s news that it will be closing down soon. This is the best hotel I stayed, like a warm family

Best hospitality ever. They even offer experiences to familiarise yourself with Japanese culture.

A quiet place for relaxation after 3 days of hectic schedule in Osaka. Can see deers in front of the hotel. The space is a bit too small for 4 pax. After laying out the futons, no place to walk to the bathroom. There are activities scheduled in the tourist centre such as making origami, etc.

A great place & on a rainy day we practiced origami, calligraphy & other cultural activities in the hotel/visitor centre. Great location next to the park & all the must see tourist spots. Very helpful staff

Absolutely amazing place! The room completely matched its description, but there was an added bonus - the hotel has an onsen (hot spring bath). But the main advantage of this place is that the hotel is located at the Nara tourist information center, where enthusiastic people work and tell you about interesting places to visit. And you can also try writing in katakana, or folding origami, or taking pictures in a kimono. The vacation was a success! Thank you to the wonderful people who work there!

Perfect location near the train station and the park. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Very helpful staff.

Love this hotel although it is not near to train station. There are deers just outside the hotel and within walking distant to attractions, ab”bout 5-10 min walk. Only problem is hotel lobby is on second floor. Either access through the stairs at ground floor or going through the slop behind the building. You can actually access through the convenient store which is at B1 to take a lift, during the store opening hours. But was not advised/informed by the hotel.
