Not good, very unfriendly, not able to enter the Bahamas, no check-in, no refund, very bad, very bad, this country is very unfriendly, don’t come here to travel if you have money, very bad, disgusting country

We were sent to the Colonial after a series of cancelled BA flights. We arrived late at night and struggling to figure out our arrangements at 3am. The staff and management could not have been more helpful or kind - they went above and beyond to make a stressful and uncertain experience a more enjoyable one. Possibly the nicest management team I have ever experienced. Hotel was nice, recently refurbished, with a lovely bar. Much better than the ****** carnival ship that the Grand Hyatt was (where we were staying before our cancelled flight).

Four friends went for Spring Break and had a blast. Great place, loved the helpful people, the great location, the history. A couple suggestions would be water bottle filling stations instead of all that plastic, fans in the rooms, funner music at the pool and less day pass cruise ship people taking the chairs. Would go back in a heartbeat!

The room was great and i enjoyed my stay, the staff was pleasant and helpful. I truly enjoyed my time at this beautiful hotel, the food was good and the ambience of the hotel is clean and fresh. I would definitely visit and stay at British Colonial again.

Beautiful hotel with beautiful people. Shout out to Walden who recognized the leak in our closet even before we had seen it and moved us to a better room. Also to Kedra who was so sweet to us and Frederick always with a smile opening our doors with a great attitude. Aneshia also took great care of us at breakfast when she noticed we weren’t attended to. Breakfast was definitely something that needed improvement though especially the coffee. The private beach was a definitely plus that kept cruisers out.

Room, view and people were very good. But watch out for ghost charges. They put charge of 102.50 on my bill when I was checking out on the 16th. Since i had not made the purchase, I asked to see some documentation. They removed the charges, and said it was not due. Now they've put put it back after 2 weeks on my credit card. They have a problem on charging expenses to rooms without proper documentation. So someone can charge their bill to your room without you being aware of it. Ive reported this to my bank, ******* and the hotel.

The staff is amazing and makes this a great destination. In busy Nassau the British Colonial is an oasis. Centrally located and great things are walkable. Fish Fry, Queens steps, water excursions. Nassau is a bit pricey because of cruise ship folks.

The hotel is very pretty and extremely clean. My son went to another resort and said it was disgusting. There aren’t many options for food if the weather is bad and the outdoor areas are closed. There are a few small things that need to be done, but all in all things were very good!

Our stay was due to a flight cancellation & a last minute search for lodging for the night. We were disappointed to find a leaking window, with water on the sill & floor, when we got to the room. Attempts to contact the desk went unanswered, so we cleaned up the water ourselves as the tile was extremely slippery. The information was shared with housekeeping working on the hall when we made our way down for a quick late dinner, but no one entered the room to address the concern. For a less than 12 hours stay, at considerable cost, it is doubtful the British Colonial will be a consideration for our next visit to the Bahamas.
