Shofuro Matsuya

You can't enter the hotel until 3 pm, and you have to clean it up before that time. You can only check in at 3 pm before. This is the first time that I can’t enter the hotel if I arrive early! There are not many service staff, maybe they are too busy. However, the room was not bad. Dinner was delivered to the room, and a Chinese girl served us. It is rare to have a Chinese-speaking waiter in such a remote place. There is a self-service bar in the lobby, where you can take drinks at will.

The town looks like a ghost town, and you can't see any ghosts during the day. But this hotel is great, there is no bad service, and the dinner is amazing. I am very grateful to the Chinese girl in the restaurant and the shy front desk guy who doesn’t speak English. Although I didn’t see the scenery here in early winter, But I don’t regret coming!

We stayed in a room with an open-air bath that was apparently used in a commercial. The room was too big for two people... The open-air bath faced the river, and the terrace was also spacious and lovely. Above all, the food was delicious. Plenty of vegetables... Both dinner and breakfast were very satisfying. There was also a space where you could have free drinks at any time. This place turns into a bar at night. This is my favorite of all the Japanese hot spring inns I've been to.

This is my second time staying here. I stayed in a room with an open-air bath again, but I changed the room. It was nice that it had a different feel from last time. The food was delicious, the bath was nice, and the bar was lovely. I really enjoyed it. I'd like to stay here again.
