We booked a Deluxe King Suite with balcony and jacuzzi on the second floor. We were not disappointed - it was one of the corner suites (apartment no. 10) and we loved it. Both the indoor and outdoor space were large and sufficient for our needs. It was so nice to open the curtains and doors and sit on the balcony watching the sea, sunset and world go by. We didn’t experience any issues with dust from the road (the roads were watered during the day which I’m sure helped). The were two slight niggles 1. Not much storage space for clothes/ shoes/ cases 2. there was a light on outside our room at night and the blinds facing the bed were not blackout so we often found sleep a little distrurbed both ends of the day. It was nice to have a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. And the welcome basket (fruit, drinks) were appreciated. There is a supermarket just next door which was super handy and we visited the restaurant next door for our daily breakfast (which was delicious) and served by a fabulous waiter (Gesti). And had dinner (twice on the beach) and once in the restaurant during our stay - at all times the quality of food and service were excellent). The free sunbeds (which were very comfy) and beach towels were great. It is such a beautiful and reasonably undeveloped part of Plaka beach which we loved. Lovely white sand and beautiful colours in the sea. There was a lovely welcome breeze every day, and the sea changed from mill-pond to large waves during our stay; though didn’t stop us taking a dip each time we visited the beach. There is a bus stop just out the front of the apartments that takes you to and from Naxos Town (a couple of Euros each way) and a c.30 minute journey. We also walked both north and south of the apartments trying out other places for dinner (covered in my other reviews). All in all we had a fantastic relaxing holiday and would highly recommend Nikos & Maria.

Absolutely beautiful. Kiki was an amazing host and nothing was too much trouble. Just metres to the beach where they put out sun beds for us. The rooms were cleaned beautifully and the grounds are lovely. My daughter fell in love with the local cat. Will definitely be back!

We booked this hotel after seeing some nice photos and having the possibility of being in front of the beach. But when we arrived, we found another reality. The place is a complex with a restaurant and a supermarket. While this is comfortable, the fact is that the hotel seems to be abandoned and mismanaged. The explanation might be here: - We paid 140 EUR per night for a room with no fix shower and a non-expected window in the door which made wake up at 5 AM the first day. - The staff is almost non-existent. The manager (Kiki) only appeared after calling her several times, and basically told us “this is peak season, this is what you paid for, so deal with it”. They only managed to fix the shower, while we had to sleep during the rest of our stay putting a towel on the door every night. - The beach sunbeds are very nice, but their are managed terribly. The first day they told us they didn’t take reservations, but several days after we realized they had booked the first-row sunbeds. Some people simply booked the sunbeds and arrived only after 3PM! Finally, they ended suspending this “system” after the logical complaints of the other the guests. It seems that their policy there was to change the rules randomly or there was no policy at all. - We go regularly to Greece and we have always found very nice and honest people, until this time. The last day of our stay we hear by chance that sunbeds price jumped mysteriously from 30 to 40 Euros for the non-guests, but only in some cases. Inflation? Price fixation according to the customer look? We will never know. The good thing: The cleaning lady, very friendly and leaving the room unpolluted every day. Plaka beach, the sunbeds near the beach (included in the room price even if you don’t use them), and the supermarket and restaurant next to the hotel. The bad thing: Basically, all the rest. The basic and old room, the overpriced rates, the staff, the sand entering the “front beach” rooms every time a car passed by. We also heard similar critics from the hotels nearby. It seems that for these kinds of complexes they care mostly about the restaurant or the supermarket, but not the hotel. I’m very surprised as I must say we had an incredible experience in Koufonisia the week before staying at lovely hotel with very friendly staff for the same price or even less. I hope that they consider this comment to improve and avoid other guests having a similar experience, although I won’t go back for sure.

This is not what you see in the photos. We book 7 nights during August which was very expensive. When we arrived nobody was at the reception and someone from the restaurant gave us the key. Nobody even care or asked at what time we were arriving. In the room there were no basic things such as a shower (only a hand shower) and curtains. You wake up at 5 am with the sun on your eyes. When we asked to the reception they put a hanger in the shower to fix it but they did nothing with the curtains. The air conditioning sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. During high season this is very important as the temperature were above 40 degrees. We called many times the manager Kiki which never picked up the phone. During the 3rd day there was no water in the room so we decided to claim in the reception where they finally brought the manager Kiki. We wanted to leave to another hotel and of course we were going to pay for the nights that we stayed but we were going to spend the remaining nights somewhere else. She said that they have charged our credit card (we have called to hotel before arriving and they told us we could pay in cash and that was the agreement) and that she was not going to give us our money back. We called ******* the agency, who contacted the hotel and confirmed that the manager was not going to give us our money back from the remaining nights. Very dishonest considering that basic stuff as shower, curtain, air conditioning and water were not provided. Moreover, the sun beds, that were included, we were told that there was no booking that first arrives, first serves. During the 3rd day at 8am they were all booked by the receptionist. If the sun beds were not occupied by anyone they were allowed to rented them to people that were not staying at the hotel… I saw many times where depending on the person they told them that the price for the first row was 30 or 40. Unbelievable, they charged different prices depending on who was asking. Avoid this hotel, these people don’t care at all about their guests and what it is worst they are dishonest. The only good things I can say is that it is in front of the beach and the cleaning was good.

Nikos & Maria is absolutely beautiful. We booked a suite with with terrace jacuzzi on the second floor and it’s exactly like the photographs (although the new jacuzzis are not built in, which made no difference to us.) The view during the day, and at sunset, is unbeatable. We stayed in two of the suites available, because we needed to change dates at the last minute and they kindly accommodated us. The newly renovated corner suite is gorgeous. The middle suite is also very nice, and has the bonus of a kitchenette, but isn’t quite as bright or freshly decorated as the corner. The gorgeous Plaka beach is immediately in front of the hotel. Umbrella and lounge chairs are available free of charge for hotel guests, with snacks and drinks available to order. It would be great to have more Greek food options at the beach, but the food was still yummy. Can’t beat it for relaxation. Keep in mind that it can be windy. The restaurant is delicious. The menu has great Greek options. We ordered something different for four meals and each dish was great. We ordered the Naxian salad a couple times because it’s a fresh Greek salad with a delicious twist (fresh soft Naxian cheese). They let us take dinners up to the room, which we ate on the terrace and was easier than eating at the restaurant with our six-month old. The nearby market, ice cream cafe, and other restaurants made this a convenient location despite also being away from the hustle and bustle. I’ve seen a review complain about dust from the road, which we did not find to be a problem. If we ever noticed any dust, as would be expected on outdoor furniture, it was minimal and easily wiped away. We dined outdoors often without any issue. Lastly, the owners (with their sweet baby) and staff are very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone seeking a relaxing beach vacation (who isn’t?). Thank you Nikos & Maria!

Clean, cozy and close to the beach! Despite being in the center of Laganas nightlife, the place is not noisy because it is located in a side street of the center. The owner Maria and her daughter are very kind and attentive to the customer! Upon arrival they gave us a bottle of white wine and on the third day a jam made by them! I recommend it to anyone who wants to go to Laganas.
