Sunday Boutique Hotel

We stayed for one night at the start of a road trip holiday. The hotel is in a perfect position in the centre of the village and close to the ferry. it has private off road parking which is ideal. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a suite which we loved. The room was very spacious with the bed on a raised platform and a large vanity and bathroom area. There was also a large outdoor balcony which we didn't have time to enjoy. Out stay included breakfast and this was excellent with table service and made to order. We were sorry that we didn't stay longer and would definitely book again if we return to Evia.

Junior suite with Seaview was amazing, great breakfast (they still served us with a smile even though we were late) and a huge shout out to Petros who has been one the best hosts we ever had;he went above and beyond to make our experience special! Definitely recommend Sunday Boutique!

We booked executive sea view suite for 3 nights @ €280 / night, which is already pretty steep considering the location. Nonetheless, I naively assumed that the hotel’s facilities and level of service would make up for this, little did I know… Hotel Location & Facilities - The hotel is located very close to the port, right across the beach and right in the middle of the busiest spot in the town. Upon our arrival we came to the realisation that there is no guaranteed parking spots in the very crammed parking space of the hotel. I ended up parking there once and the rest of the days there were no available spots so we had to settle for the public parking which is a 2 min walk. Normally I wouldn’t complain about this, but for that price I would expect a parking space outside the hotel and not in the midst of a muddy field. - All the common areas in the hotel had an underlying smell of sewage, not very pleasing. Obviously fixable but persistent throughout our stay. Room - The room was relatively recently refurbished, clean and quite large. - On our first evening we had no hot water, the absence of a 24-hour reception meant we had to shower with cold water - Terrible soundproofing is an issue as the sea view hotels overlook all the beach bars restaurants and the main road all of which can be very noisy until early morning hours Customer Service - The staff were all very friendly and tried to be as attentive as they could - Note however that we received zero instructions from the front desk ahead of our arrival and in fact when we arrived there was no one in the front desk and had to wait for at least 10 minutes for someone to show up. It may be the case that the hotel is understaffed in that respect as I only saw one person in the front desk throughout our stay. All in all, the hotel has good potential, however there are some fundamental issues that need to be resolved in order for it to even come close to justify the price. Instead of spending time trying to market Coco-mat sleeping products, focus on addressing the basics first. I would give 2 stars but owing to the hotel’s staff friendliness, politeness and overall effort they put in I ended up with 3.

The positives : Stayed 4 nights ,Fantastic hotel and setting perfect location from ferry , beach ,shops and restaurants. Rooms modern clean and very nice 👌 the reception team were absolutely spot on and very helpful and chatty 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 , the young lad that grew up in Manchester England also superb great guy 👍🏻👍🏻 The negatives : when sitting in the outside food areas it takes to long to get served for a drink ( 30 mins for a cup of hot water and a T bag ) and even longer to get food although breakfast and all other food was very good . Apart from the 2 guys and 1 particular lady waiter the staff ( the younger girls ) need to learn to look at customers and not just walk pass them or standing around chatting !!! Maybe might of even got tips if they did there job properly !!!!
