What a lovely place. Quiet and friendly. Nice size room with spacious modern bathroom and balcony. Water pressure in shower great. Very clean and comfortable beds. Restaurants, little shops and day spas all within walking distance.

Good location and very nice comfortable room overlooking pool and garden. Staff were friendly and helpful. I was able to wash some clothes which was great.

We had the entire living room to ourselves since the other room sharing it was not occupied. Being vegetarians, we prepared our breakfast and dinner in the room from Instant food packets we had brought from India. * Bright and airy with plenty of wire mesh door panels to let all the air in the world in. * Solar water heating system supplying hot water to the bathroom, the wash basin and the kitchenette sink. * Courteous staff. * Indian Garden Restaurant next door. * Brown's beach (not recommended bathing due to sharp slope but for views) within walking distance. * Though we did not just the swimming pool, we found it very clean and decent sized. Negative: * The owner was away and his main assistant Lakshan on night duty the second day. Only Madhu, a charming lady with an infectious smile was there and ever ready to help but we didn't have a way to contact her. * No generator or inverter despite it being a place with 12 bedrooms. A superb place to spend your first couple of nights in Sri Lanka. Friendly staff and lovely rooms that look out onto the pool. A haven of quiet in a bustling little town. I can thoroughly recommend.

For sure the very best hotel to stay on the Sri Lankan coast. This small, family run residence is perfect. The owner and his team cannot do more to make you welcome. It is incredibly clean with a lovely swimming pool in the garden. It has bedrooms and apartments. The breakfasts are delicious and it is 2 minutes to the beautiful sandy beach. There are countless shops and cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Additionally the team help you with everything you need whether tours, taxis and onward travel. The hotel has its own tuk tuk driver whose name is Lakshan. He is totally honest and will do anything to make your holiday special. I can truly wholeheartedly recommend this residence. Perfection!

Very nice place. Traveling with 2 teen kids. Big comfortable and clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff, also to do activities (TukTuk tour, boot tour on the lagoon highly recommended). Was a great first stay in our tour through Sri Lanka.

Very pleasant and conveniently located

Our first time at the Christima. Great place to stay after a long journey. Central to everything you need. Chams and staff were very helpful and arranged our trip to the lagoon. The room were very clean. Great value for money. Will recommend this hotel to our friends and family when looking for a place to stay in Negombo.
