"Stayed for 1 night in August 2024, the hotel is grand and very welcoming. The receptionists are very helpful, even suggested a great hotel in the next town over (Zé Pataco in Canas de Senhorim) and it served great food highly recommend it. The breakfast at the hotel was good, a selection of fresh breads, cereals, fresh fruit, pancakes and scrambled eggs to name a few. The only down fall I had were signage is a bit poor, location foelr the swimming pool, bars and other areas in the hotel was not existent. I would definitely stay again as everything else was great."

"Can not say enough about this hotel!!! We had a wonderful stay here, and probably would have wanted to stay an extra day because we enjoyed it so much. The hotel has kept so much history and upon arrival, you were given a tour and the history of the house. We stayed in a beautiful suite, I feel any room here was beautiful, comfortable and clean. Now, the people running the place couldn't have been nicer! A special acknowledgement to Leonnel, who took special care of us both nights at dinner. The grounds are also amazing, the salt water pool was heated and very relaxing. I had a massage treatment and used the sauna, which both were great! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back!"

"Quite a disappointing experience. Partially renovated hotel, on low season, with a good value for money price for 2 suites, 2 nights. Should work as a kind of base camp for some touring around Serra da Estrela. Unfortunately, all amenities were close and/or without staff. No spa, no pool, no bar. Even at reception we had to ring to call someone. Employees were friendly. But no problem solving approach was really made. As an example, the entire hotel’s TVs system just went off for the entire weekend and only on Monday should a tecnician be available to repare it. We’ll never know if it actually worked out well. SPA were close and no information was given - this is a SPA hotel, it’s pointless to stay there without the SPA. We were told that they use this period for some repairs on all facilities (hotel and spa) which makes sense, but the services must continue or perhaps it’s better for them to close for the season… there was only a hand full of reservations, which tells a lot. Breakfast looked nice on pictures fore was actually poor and with a low follow up (cold coffee, unbaked pancakes, “funny eggs”…). Fine room renovation, but also a lot of defects on an Ikea based furniture… All That said, I guess the worst was to be sure it’s a good hotel but lack of management and attention to details, truly tags it to a place to be avoid. Sadly, because the place and surroundings deserved better"

"We spent the week at Casas do Patio and from the moment we arrived we were very impressed with the impeccable service. The apartment was spacious with big windows and black out curtains so you can sleep in the comfort of luxurious bedding. Staff went out of their way to guide us through the places to visit and dine. The breakfast was delivered to our room, and everyday had a different variety. I can’t recommend Casas dos Patio enough and can’t wait to visit again and enjoy the fluvial pools with the kids and rustic country side for a less crowded vacation. "
