Village Inn
The Farmhouse at Veritas
"What a beautiful and relaxing place to stay! The house and rooms are welcoming and well-stocked..from the freshly baked cookies, to the tea/coffee/waters in multiple locations; it was easy to leave any stress at the door. We walked up to the winery in the early afternoon - fabulous mountain views, wood-burning fireplace, nice range of wines to sample. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious with creative offerings and a relaxed pace. Wonderful staff! We would definitely stay again... I imagine the views are lovely in the Fall too!"
Basecamp151
"Basecamp 151 is an great place to stay, especially if you're visiting wineries/breweries/cideries around Charlottesville, VA. It's modern, fresh, & our room was spacious, clean, & had the amenities we expected. There's a nice common area with coffee bar. Their website is the best B&B-type website I've ever used. I highly recommend this location!"
Love Ridge Mountain Lodging
"Loved it! So clean. Bedding and towels were very clean. Bathroom very clean. Kitchen very clean. So serene. Enjoyed sitting under the porch and observing nature. Only feet from the Blue Ridge Parkway access. Will stay again. Only 15 miles from the entrance of the Shenandoah national Forest and Skyline Drive."
Afton Mountain Inn
"Dan & Orquida were good hosts. They greeted us at the door when we arrived & showed us around the first floor of the house. We stayed in both the Looking Glass & Jefferson rooms. We especially enjoyed the Jefferson room with the high 4- poster bed and the furnishings & decor. It was great to have cookies & drinks provided on the upstairs landing in the evening. Breakfasts were yummy- especially the frittata & local sausage. If you are going on Skyline Drive or checking out the local wineries & cideries this is a convenient location."
Piedmont Grove
Orchard House B&B
"We decided to try Orchard House Bed and Breakfast, after staying in several other locations in the area. The B&B itself is absolutely adorable, and the rooms are a perfect balance of century-old charm combine with modern amenities. The breakfasts were absolutely fantastic, each breakfast seem to be an attempt to top the breakfast from the day before. This B&B is conveniently located along US-29, right in the middle of Nelson and Amherst County Wine Country. We have already booked rooms for my 60th birthday party weekend this coming December."
